im planning to reson delete my VN but its DCT will i get that popping sound? i know i saw some post that manual has better best exhaust pop than DCT . just wanna know if i will get the same pop when i reson delete my VN DCT .
@@mattyb2944 it’s not much of a pop tune but those pops are actually functional. The designers of the car didn’t want you to lose boost in between shifts so they programmed the ecu to dump more fuel in so you’re always in boost, and any unburnt fuel will cause those popping sounds or possibly flames on other cars without cats
@@matthewnegrete8084 Excellent answer! I also think a big reason why the DCT produces a bit less pops than the manual transmission is because the dual clutch moves too swiftly that it barely allows time between shifting for the whole thing to happen
@@visualsofisa the muffler in the manual is also actually different. There's people putting the manual muffler on the DCT and it makes the DCT far louder, but yeah between shifts you'll get less popping cause it doesn't have time to pop with those quick shifts
@@Olemrac11 ah, I see. Thanks for that info. I have the DCT and the in-between shifts pops sound more like farts than pops because of the quick shifting lol
