Just subbed! I have a 2019 GT with a Corsa Extreme and boy did it wake my car up. Decently loud, barely any drone, and some minor power boost! Roush X pipe is a great option if you don't want it to be obnoxiously loud.
I just bought a 2020 GT Premium and love this. Thanks for the post !! I might have to order that Roush pipe exhaust plus I like the fact that there is a little less weight there
Good addition and sounds awesome! The exhaust pulses are now more free flowing and yes a higher pitch once you are able to get over 4000 rpm. Just wait and get that baby broken in!
@@caffeinatedmotors Break it in right! My 2005 GT was, and I have 165,000 quiet trouble free miles on it as of today! Thats My Shelby parked at The Henry Ford Museum in the picture too!
DFSLounge It all comes down to personal taste. I love the more race car gt350ish sound so I chose the x pipe also it is more efficient, but H pipe’s sound good too
@@caffeinatedmotors this is true, you want to install what sounds the best for your taste and you clearly did that. It definitely has more pop during the cold start.
The x-pipe sounded great, Thanks for video, I’m interested in the 2020 mustang gt. Mostly hoping the engine/typewriter tick maybe gone, did you have any concerns on that issue. Was that one of the reason you bought the 2020. It’s well documented in 2018 and 2019. Thanks Mike
mike paul Mine has ticked 😂 I have a video on it. Yes i waited until 2020 for the issues to go away but they didn’t, in fact tbh with you, the 2020’s feel cheaper made the 2018-2019’s
2020 still suffer from the tick. Just wait until the first oil change is whe. People tend to notice. I poured a bottle of ceratec in mine after an oil change and haven’t heard the tick ever again.
Thanks for responding to the tick question. I was looking at 2020 to buy. And like you love the car yet amazing that item isn’t fixed. Personally I think it’s all about the plasma/heli-arc bore spray instead on steel block sleeves. Hard to believe bore off for 3 years. Anyways sounds like you are enjoying your car immensely anyways. Did you pull the plug on car/rebate thing? Still like car but would be nice to get an engineering report or something less evasive from Ford. Obvious big supporters of the car like you, deserve that. Out of Brand name pride
The x pipe is not the way to go for that factory exhaust. I got H pipe by Steeda and putting a Steeda axle back. Deep and loud that's what you want that's the muscle car not at exotic car. Steeda axle back is on sale right now for $332. It sounds just like the Roush axle back.
Thanks. Saw that minutes after I wrote my post. Looked for updates. You doing the direct oil or certec or any other strategy. But love how you call Ford out. Yes, Ford, “get your shit together” - great beautiful car with some easy fix’s of flaws
mike paul No, im gonna get another oil change soon, see how it is with the tick, and if it ticks im gonna start my buyback. Some say “add 5w-30” and i agree that it may help but i shouldnt have to add oil that isnt OEM to stop an engine from having issues from factory instructions of putting in 5w-20. Ford needs to get their shit together, also my car feels poorly built. More so than my past 2 mustangs. Feel extremely cheap, rattles, digital gauge has little glitches. Idk why but the key fob has no range i have to be like within 30 feet furthest. Steering wheel squeaks. Too many issues
You positive your car didn't come with the active exhaust? The power cables were shown when on the lift and you have the settings button on your steering wheel which changes the modes for the exhaust.
Not sure where people think you shouldn’t go over a certain rpm during break in. You shouldn’t try and max your cars top speed after you pull out of the lot. But you should do brief periods of WOT to burn your rings at the top rpms, unless you never plan on going full throttle, I’ve looked this up and gotten several answers, but after talking to certified ford mechanics, they say that it’s ok and that you should do it every so often for the first thousand miles. Other than that, the stock mufflers really aren’t that bad, and they are louder then what the video shows. I know because I just bought my GT and I will be putting the borla atak cat back on mine.
taco salsa There is no drone so far but I havent’t been on the freeway yet so i cant really say. I doubt there will be though condidering its still relatively quiet unless you get on the throttle
Fully agree. Just covering up a fundament flaw or as some have oil burbling, but if there is real cyclinder wall scoring or lots of oil bypass or use then. I alway thought it was the 2018 plasma cyclinder wall spray - ditching the iron sleeves of 2017
mike paul Thing is some of the 2015-2017’s have it too. It’s way more rare though on the gen 2 coyotes. It seems lime 50% of gen 3 coyotes have the tick which is insane. These things may very well be ticking time bombs time will tell but that’s not a risk i want to take
Awesome I been looking for an x pipe might get this one too, until I upgrade to the Roush active exhaust which is like 2700$. Great content bro! Gonna start making videos with mine soon.
Twister5.0 yea no problem man. So this isn’t that much louder? I’m still debating on if I want this or not because I’m in Cali too and I don’t want to be stupid loud but I do love that gt350 sound like you said.
I went with the awe catback and cold starts loud but cruising it's like stock unless you get into it. Up to 3 complaints in the mail from neighbors now 😂
@@caffeinatedmotors there's actually a lot of nice cars in Vancouver. Not many youtubers but definitely a good selection up here. Our gas prices are just ridiculous and it scares a lot away from the v8's
I’m full on muffler delete with an x pipe bro and trust me cops love it as long as you u aren’t being obnoxious or annoying. They have complimented me and gave me thumbs up lol. Drone is noticeable but around 2k rpm but when cruising at 60-80mph it’s nonexistent
Great mod. Just subbed. On my '15 premium w/pp, I also have done the muffler delete and x-pipe. I fucking love it. I always get compliments and looks. I smile ear to ear every time I drive it. IG is blue_dragon_mustang.
@@caffeinatedmotors So in the beginning you brag about California being comunist state because of imision regulation and then you blatantly admit that you are cheating on smoke tests. Interesting:) I lived in a communist country, Czechoslovakia and I have to tell you that you have a very bad misconception what communist state actually is. I assure you that imision regulation legislation would be the last of your concerns. Anyway, nice ride, I am buying one myself here in Czech Republic, the same color, in that Mustang 55 EU only packet with black roof, black stang on cooler intake and black spoiler. Automatic transmission in my case, because I am lazy and I just want to cruise. I enjoyed the other video about delivery and was bit scared about the transmission problem. Hope it works out well for you in the end. One thing though, how do you like the twister orange? I enjoy it more on pictures the fury, because that was bit too bright, but how does this one feel, especially on sunlight? Is it playful and not too dark? Thanks and take care.
Martin Klumpar I didn’t mean the communist thing seriously, it’s just a joke because people call california commiefornia. As for the orange, it’s actually pretty similar, but yes twister definitely looks better.
I paired my X pipe with the Borla S-Type axel back on my 16 GT and sounds awesome! Here's the link for your 3'rd Gen S550! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yN8tIAx79wo.html
I take it Ford fixed all your problems hopefully, because I'm sure once you start modifying it,I'm sure the fixes to the engine ticks and all the above are now knull and void
Caffeinated Motors thanks bro. Yeah I just got mine out here in Cali too. I think I’m going to hit up the dealership for the performance pack wheels! That look really good
@@willwheat6133 Yep, exhaust mods don't affect warranty thankfully, unless somehow a problem is caused by your aftermarket exhaust which i can't see happening.
