I've had many bikes in my life, then few years ago I went for a mv agusta and indeed it's something special. Now I'm at my 3rd mv and I got the 1000cc, and it's just mental.

'18 800rr passionate owner 6 times rear brake overhaul currently again with a broken rear brake, rust on several parts, hardly any dedicated dealers around and several sporadic engine failure lights on the cheap factory display, still it's every time a great pleasure to drive. Even without rear brake. You gotta love it to maintain it. Buy a Yamaha if you're not looking for temperament and want to ride reliably. gr. RB

It's currently mid winter (London), covid lockdown bloody everywhere. I traded in my KTM 790 Duke for a 2017 Dragster 800RR (Solarbeam yellow & black) around September 2020. Needless to say I fell in love immediately.

Beautiful bike with no real dealer network to speak of in the US. I live in Dallas, Texas and there is no longer an MV dealership within 300 miles. Too bad - I’d love to buy one.

It still comes with three pipes from the factory, the single exhaust on the bike in the video is a aftermarket exhaust from SC Project.

I bought one of these bikes after a boy hood fascination. Then after owning one of these bikes I would never buy another MV. MV takes poor back up and crap after sales service combined with the worlds most uncomfortable suspension to a level I never thought possible. I now have a Kawasaki and I am soo much happier I ride it everyday and it never gives me shit and when I (one day) will need a part for it, guess what Kawasaki wont give me some shit about a two year waiting list.

Can you suggest similar bikes? The original dragster RR absolutely blew my mind I fell in love over video. Like what other bikes have such a symphony of sounds in a ~800cc or below beast. Ducati’s maybe?

Why do people think bar end mirrors look cool? They don’t, they look like wide donkey ears. They make the handlebars look 8 feet wide. It is another case of people thinking different is automatically better. Sometimes it is, sometimes it looks dumb. Rest of the bike looks great. I like the seat unit on the brutale better though. And the 3 tipped exhaust was amazing looking and this exhaust looks ok at best. Wish MV could figure out how to provide reliability and some value and larger production. They have the stying that beats all other brands.

Less fluff next time. It would be nice if you explained the exact changes made in 2020 and how quick shift works and if there is a downside to using it often, and the benefit of the SC exhaust if optioned. More data, less blather. Just an opinion.

Cant comment on the 2020 one but I had a Brutale 675, 2014 model. Honestly it wasnt that bad. No catastrophic failures, but not 100% bulletproof either. The only major faults were due to the dealer mistakes (seals not installed correctly post service, shifter not tightened, both sorted free of charge). One recurring fault was the sensor on the aftermarket clutch lever that used to fail when it got wet and dirty (living in the tropics, thats a given). Never had the dreaded sprag clutch failure, but thats something to keep an eye on. Do I miss her, yes. Don sums up the feeling of riding one completely. Hoping to be able to get another MV in the future, along side my Hyper 1100

Also, they have this weird protrusion on the tank where you put your thighs that makes holding the tank with them quite unpleasant. I know I could not bear riding this bike even if I really loved it just because of that.

Dragster has a wider rear tire, 200 vs 180, shorter tail/different tail section, clip ons and wire wheels for the rr. The f3 is the supersport, the brutale is a tweaked f3 with supermoto-like ergos and the dragster is even more street oriented and really puts an emphasis on MV’s tagline, motorcycle art

Entry line brembo mc, nissin brake pump, 1990+ lcd calculator look instrument panel , straight line oriented 190/50 rear tire, way too long gear lever travel, no torque below 8k revs, not usable above 170 km/h. 4,5,6 rears no needed. Thank you, no. Not for me.
