It is a lottery to buy a Polaris with the Patriot 850 engine. In sweden, many go bad because of the wrong mapping and many cogs over on the track so you have to tighten it super hard. This is on the 2019 models and the Polaris experts in the usa work a lot with trying to fix the errors but many in sweden got their winter destroyed So we hope that Polaris has fix every problem to the 2020 models
The problems with the track do you know if the riders followed the guide lines for tightening the track, because they call for the track too be retarded tight but they have done lots of R and D on this and it shows you loose track speed with a loose track! I have ran mine too the factory specs and rarely ratchet and that's with a turbo!
That was actually funny, almost as funny as the first response to it being a completely serious reply Beyond a shadow of a doubt polaris is the pinnacle brand ATM, I hate saying that, where im from saying polaris is the best makes you feel dirty but its true they are,and will be for awhile from what i can see, every brand has a comparable monster but polaris edges them out just a bit for whatever reason
All the technology packed into Polaris sleds, and they still use the damn gas cap/gage off a tractor from 1975. I also don’t understand why they don’t come standard with tether switches.
Will you do a video explaining how you change the limiter, tracks, and shocks to make the front more playful on an axys. Looking most people do not recommend messing with the limiter strap on the Axys. I am curious what you are doing with that.
Like the video, but would like you to do a broader comparison of Khaos vs Pro vs SKS 155 vs 155 Assault. I've got a 2011 RMK Pro 163 only because it was the cheapest powder sled for sale at the time when starting out after 30 plus years of just beating and getting stuck with trail machines in the deep and steep.
2 little questions Chris. 1- If one feels the Khaos is too light in the front and want more pressure on the front skis, can the limiter strap be shortened and the front ski shock loosened to make it more like a Pro RMK? Best of both worlds! 2- Why no shorter tunnel?!!!!! The BRP Expert has it, you are the pioneer of that mod!!! I was a little disappointed in Polaris on this. I was sure they would of done that. Thanks man. Chris from Quebec!!!!!
@@ChrisBurandt talking strictly rear skids is there much difference between the assault skid and kaos? Currently riding an assault with react front end. 2.6
One thing you will learn about Chris is the guy is a straight business man! Some companies advertise on tv and others through ambassadors. He will say anything to get people to buy stuff to put money in his pocket. Nothing wrong with that, he’s got a family to feed just like the rest of us. However it makes it a little confusing when you are looking to him for sled advice. I must say he definitely has some great advice to give tho. Hit or miss, can be contradicting sometimes. And for 2020-2021 their whole crew is riding 163-165 khaos’. Snowest forums are a good place to check, some of the advice on there can be a little bias tho but at least you get people telling you how they feel about the topic, rather than pushing a product for financial gain. Polaris definitely has some catching up to do, short tunnel, more power and other misc. upgrades. As with any company, they try to run with a design or model as long as they can. Like the Polaris ice scratchers for example, what a joke... seriously. No factory tether on sled that comes clutched for the mountains? Like why? And then sell them for $50-$90 as an accessory. It’s not a big deal but why can’t that just be done at the factory and figured into the purchase price? They make the changes as slow as they can to try to ride out the model they have for as long as they can. Same with any other company out there. So no hate on Polaris. That’s just the name of the game.
Thanks Chris, for your honest insight into the difference between the KHAOS and PRO-RMK-so true what you say about the importance of every rider truly considering how and where they are using their sleds and what kind of riding they enjoy the most.
Boon Docker Why not? They are all deadly weapons in the hands of a pro rider. He is on team Polaris but i doubt he would say the Summit is garbage. He could jump on one and still be better than 99% of riders.

Currently have (2) 2019's both 163 2.6 850's, do the Nextech carbon rails work with the factory suspension arms? Would adding the Nextech rails and extending the limit strap get the front end of my sleds to lighten up similar to the Khaos?
I have allways been a assault guy, still riding a 2012 assault with a comp track, then SKS was my go to, now you guys are kicking ass, if I can get a promotion and start making bucks, khaos is in my future
Have a 2020 khaos and had it reflashed in January 2021 Cause a bit of bog at about 6000 rpm only had about 150 miles on it and about 10 hours but now after reflash it fouled up 1 plug and now it has a bitter of a sputter at 4000 to 5000 rpm and odd time when start it , it will run for a second then shut off then when start a second time it stays running ,can I reflash it back to original? Does it matter if I run ngk bpr9es or champion rn57ycc ? Any info greatly appreciated ?
@@havardfremstad564 i don't think it has to do with track length. I'd like to know if greater ski pressure or track pressure results in greater steep sidehilling.
@@tedt6453 Of course track length has something to say, but without thinking about track length, I would personally choose the rmk because I have heard that it is easier to sidehill with, but what do I know😆
@@havardfremstad564 not very much clearly. the chaos is more nimble because the limiter strap is further out and there is more weight transfer to the track. the rmk is better for chutes and climbing because the limiter is tighter resulting in more ski pressure. my question is basically what holds a steeper side hill? greater ski pressure or greater track pressure
Just need some acoustic panels on the walls and ceiling and these weiners will stay winers Chris. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, much appreciated Sir!
That’s kind of the conclusion I came to, that the lighter ski pressure would not be a benefit to me in the steep trees, which is where I need the sled to perform it’s best.
You may think I am crazy asking this but I dont have the $$$ for multiple sleds, and was wondering how the 155 handle on the trails at the 38 inch settings, with the understanding that majority of the time would be in the mountains....
@@Trad-Am If you know the right dealer they can make this happen for you. I just ordered a Khaos with a 163" from Kurts polaris in Seely Lake MT with the 155" Tunnel.
