Thanks for your comments Mike. I think you're underestimating the technical knowledge of snowmobilers. I'm confident most watching this video will gladly express their pride in how much they know and understand about sleds.

@@snowtrax thanks for reply. Id love to say you are right, but the fact is they don't. They are sheep. They listen to only what they hear/watch. I sell many tracks. No one knows what the pitch even is. What happened to actual TECH videos? Everything is a marketing. Point in case: you never even talk about how the rear skids work. Quick overview. Slide action? Do non cat guys know only two bolts hold it in? Model year stuff is great promo. Year later it old. No one cares. A library of tech will have guys coming back again and again. Think of it like copyright/license/library material. You own it forever. We need to get past the quirks words/phrases. Get back to some meat and potatoes information. All guys know is to spin those shock knobs!! Crank it up baby!!!! Yeah not impressed. Maybe guys want the BNG with some led hanguards to feel good about themselves. Those are worth a MPH or two right?

shperax yes but the sell many many more cars to recover that cost. So your comparison is not valid.

@@ebsell No one is gonna pay you $100 for a cookie just because you only made 1 batch. Give your head a shake. It's the manufacturers to blame here. The dealers are paying ridiculous prices for these machines also. They are lucky to get $200 profit from a $15,000 machine. If they continue this business practice expect a lot less competition in the market. Yamaha is already on the edge of shuting down their snow machine line. It's their own fault for having a $18,000 entry fee on a product that cost them a few thousand to build. Polaris did something right with the Indy. $6500 for a simple great trail sled. We need more options like this. And no one wants to have to take their damn sled in to a dealer to have the computer reset to get out of limp mode because you disconnected a sensor for a moment. We don't need that shit. The whole industry is going to shit and we need to call them out on it or they aren't going to change anything.

@@shperax this is why Cat is on the way out. Snowmobiling is in trouble big time for all of the above mentioned reasons.

Its the same with dirtbikes... what's worse a sled for 16000 or a dirtbike for 12 lmao same shit... sad to say but there is a reason our parents said stay in school

@@Jake_Hynds I own everything I have. House, cars, atv, sleds. I would love a new machine. I don't finance anything and I can't justify that kind of money for something that's going to slightly out perform my current sleds. I live in a area where I commute to work on my sled close to 6 months of the year. I'm pretty sure they don't care about those kind of people anymore. They just wanna cater to rich mountain weekend sleders.

@ shperax...$11.5k for an2010 F-150 4x4 Lariat, $920 for a new trailer, and $11.5k for a 2019 RMK Pro 850 w/ 163x3 that was fully wrapped, Skinz front and rear bumpers, clutch and remap for 10-12,000' elevation (sled had 249 miles on it. so,,$23,920 total investment over a 9 year span. That breaks down to only $110.74 a month for 9 years.

Todd Stryker iits so cheap compered to us. Base model 850 rmk is more expensive than 14 000. Its in Norway so there are a lot more becuase import tax, and our dealers need money etc. It all ads up

try buying one in Australia they are $26,000 :(

Usually about 16k in canada. Build quality is junk on Polaris though. Wouldn't waste my time.

Im not sure you were listening, this sled is actually better than the pro for most riders, the pro is better for the ultra technical guys that push the edge.

JustLetMeDrive oh really. Check the price on the 2020 cats. I snow checked one in stead of buying new non current. Price matters.

You would actually see a much bigger difference if you did the mods to a pro RMK and added a special shock package such as fox. Then add the balance of whats left in mods.

I agree. A minor skid change and shocks doesn't justify a $2000 price difference. This sled is for marketing purposes only. Polaris needed another model for there line up that they could charge a premium price on and this is it. Its no different then the summit expert. Its the same as any other summit but with a short tunnel but the price is much higher then a regular summit. These sleds are for making the company large amounts of money but have very little money into these "new" models.
