@rubennunez1075

It is not, getting out of traffic lights up to 60 or 70 km/h is very responsive, better than most petrol cars. Of course, it is not a high performance car which will need 2 or 3 times more fuel in the process. Anyway, in Sydney's traffic you can't go over 60 km/h because is the legal limit in most of the city and it is full of speed cameras ;)

Geez that is some slow acceleration, toyota should put the 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder engine from the supra in it an put a small battery in it too for in town that charges when you brake or lift off the accelerator, that would be a more fun and safer car. That slow acceleration would be dangerous when overtaking lorrys or joining motorways. 🤔

Hello my brother from another mother down under. Enjoyed ya vid. Just a few quick comments. 1. Price which appear to be at least 10K difference than NY USA. 2. I have this car not the hybrid or top model a 2020. I view a number reviews and everyone say it has no quickness. Well I suggest to anyone that have one. If u need the speed. Put in sport mode and manual shift. You’ll get surprising speed. I beat out a mustang not a 5.O but still a mustang. 3. Where Toyota really messed up with this car no charging port in rear area. Luckily i got a mode. Shalom

Please keep in mind that this 50% increase in range they falsely advertise, does not mean that regenerative braking will give an 50% range increase! This isn’t going to bump your range from 100 miles to 150 miles. This simply means that 50% of the kinetic energy lost during the act of braking can be turned back into acceleration later. It is important to realize that on its own, regenerative braking isn’t a magical range booster for Hybrid vehicles. It doesn’t make Hybrid vehicles more efficient per set, it just makes them less inefficient. Realistically, Regen in Hybrid will boost up to 5% increase in range only in rural areas and Not in motorways. In highways regen gives you No boost in range at all! Too expensive too!!

@rubennunez1075 3 года назад
First thing first, I have serious doubts about the results of this test, the official number is around 11 seconds, which is not fast but better than the results of the test. Having said that, this car is perfect for city traffic if you are going to drive at legal speeds, and that is 60 km/h in Australia. Because of its electric motors, it is quite responsive at low speed and out of traffic lights, better than most of real world petrol cards. At freeway speeds, is not the same history but, again, at legal speed, nothing dangerous or different to real life cars, and using at least half of the fuel of any similar size petrol car.

@@FragGile Ah ok. That's all good. We use Racelogic Vbox which is a GPS-based timer. From factory, vehicle speedometers are usually 3-8% over-stating speed, on purpose. This is so the manufacturer can never be blamed for speeding. So in fact, when the speedo shows 100km/h, in reality, the vehicle might be doing only 94km/h. Further than it being sloth level slow is the automotive industries move to C V T transmissions . Who thought up these abortion boxes need to be shot , it’s like a flicked switch vacuum cleaner while the rest of the vehicle catches up . The very idea of some mechanical linked belt sandwiched between two cones reaks of slippage failure’s in the not to distant future , especially if you drive the wheels of the thing daily . Pffft !
