Toyota Motor Corporation ushered in the future with the launch of the Toyota "Mirai" fuel cell sedan, followed by the Japan start of sales one month later. Today, Toyota held a production ceremony to mark the milestone of a new age of vehicles at its Motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan.
Production first started at the Motomachi Plant in 1959, and over its 56 year history, the manufacturing facility played a central role in realizing the dream of Toyota founder Kiichiro Toyoda: to foster an automotive industry in Japan and benefit society at large.
The plant started life as Japan's first dedicated passenger car production facility. It has been home to some of Toyota's most notable models, including the "Publica", "Corona", "Cresta", "Soarer", "Supra", "RAV4", and the Lexus "LFA" supercar.
The former "LFA Works"―where highly skilled craftspeople hand-built each of the 500 series limited Lexus supercars to some of the highest standards in the industry―has now become the home of the Mirai, just over two years since the last LFA exited the factory.
This small but dedicated facility is now charged with producing the hydrogen-powered sedan with the same care and attention to detail, with an estimated three units coming off the production line every day.

Toyota should mass manufacture Hydrogen cars and spend couple of billions $$ on marketing each year! Hydrogen cars are not marketed properly. Toyota should also invest 20-30 billion on Hydrogen generation plants and hydrogen fuel distribution infrastructure to make Hydrogen cars successful

if you once buy a Toyota , you ll never think about buying another brand ... my first ( and favorite car) Toyota Corolla 1.4vvti had 420.000 trouble-free kilometers , now i am in a Lexus ux250h and the tradition will go on in the future

@@limelight777 no, If you know that Japanese manufacturers have been forced to produce EVs, Honda has started to do so with honda E and even let the F1 project be stopped to promote their vision and mission, Toyota has also collaborated with American manufacturers to produce EVs (cmiiw), even Lexus has already promoted it. And if you know that Lexus products are 90% HEV-based, but not everyone can buy a Lexus because the price is more expensive so it needs a lot of consideration (even in my country the cheapest lexus sold for over $70k). Don't forget that EV cars must have a different driver's license and even have a higher tax + price (if in some Asian countries you must feel that), Tesla alone is very expensive in my country

Jika saja dunia mengelola air dengan benar dan baik, saya pikir kita tak akan kehabisan air untuk menjadikan bahan bakar hydrogen yang terbuat dari air, karna hydrogen tersebut akan menjadi air seperti semula lagi dan apakah anda tau bahwa air yang ada di bumi tidak berkurang maupun tidak bertambah jadi kenapa kehabisan air karna air yg di gunakan untuk hydrogen akan bersiklus kembali sepeti air semula dan begitu sterusnya ! Apakah kamu tau batrey pun akan habis suatu saat, seperti mana batubara dan energy fosil. Karna benda tersebut membutuhkan jutaan tahun lamanya untuk muncul kembali, dan kedua energi tersebut juga sebenarnya kurang ramah lingkungan karena adanya penambangan yang merusak bumi !
