Finally a video that shows a windshield with the heating cord. Trying to figure out why my replacement windshield has heating elements but does not seem to heat.

Great work man! Ive replaced three my self on older cars, brock one glass...rrr my brother did. Was going to do my wifes Rad4 but to many tools these days!! To be honest, this is neat. I had the windshield of my 2019 Rav-4 fixed a couple of days ago and it wasn't pleasant. They paid little attention to details. Good stuff, Obed.
Really good job Obed. I just can't believe they put all that junk in a windshield just like they put plastic on the engine and batteries on the inside of tires.
Minimum speed to engage before the lane assist activates. Lane departure warning kicks in between 30 mph and 40 mph or the rough metric equivalent, 50-65 kph. It isn’t meant for low-speed, stop-and-go driving, partly because the camera won’t see enough of the lane markings.
Hi I just had the windshield replaced on my toyota kluger 2021 but i noticed that both the top corners the glass is rounded not the normal pointy edge that would sit in the corner. Is that normal if not original glass replaced wouldn’t it leak later on?
About how much does replacement cost with calibration cost 2018 Highlander I’m going to the dealership and I’m so lost. My windshield is cracked from a Little Rock so nothing is damaged . Would I need to pay for calibration?
Great work . Does a new windshield come with molding installed ? I had mine replaced a couple days ago and top left corner of the molding doesn’t seat all the way , Molding itself looks little wavy . Tech told me it came from Toyota like that and they can’t do anything about it. I have RAV4 2021 . Again , great work I enjoyed it very much .
Great and neat job Obed. What is the name of the cable you removed? Is it the precollision city heater? My precollision system is malfunctioning and giving a code of C1AAE after i had my windshield changed in Ghana. Can you help out please
Thanks! Then cable I removed is called “ FORWARD RECOGNITION HOOD” also known as the camera heater. The C1AAE code you saw means camera malfunction error and it may be caused by using an aftermarket forward recognition hood ( camera heater). Try using the original cable like what I did.
I was discouraged in the business because of new glass and need to calibrate now windshield replacement business have to know how to calibrate new vehicles
You need a calibration no matter what. Never go to a shop that does what this installer did. Anytime a windshield is replaced with a forward facing camera, it is imperative the system ia recalibrated to factory OEM spec. Only hacks replace glass and do the "I didn't disconnect the camera" so it's still good kind of stuff.
