Oh yeaa! There has been like 2 kits in my life that I seen fit really well. 1 of them is oem lol. I'm sure there is more and I'm sure it's tough to make a perfect mold.
Dude I clicked on the mk4 20 minute video thinking damn this guy must be huge having all these cars and things to work on, just saw that you have 3.1k subscribers! Definitely an underrated channel and I can definitely see that one year in the future you’ll be making a video holding a golden RU-vid plaque. Keep doing what you do you’re doing amazing!!!
Dude that would be sick. Pretty cool to keep hearing I'm underated thanks alot!. I'm just working and making vids. I couldnt imagine that even happening but who knows. I'll keep doing my best and see where it goes🤞
Awesome. Yea soon I'll we posting a video of mine. Right now this covid lock down has got me really working hard at home to keep up. We just had a good snow so I hope my work picks up and frees my time at home. As for now just straight working almost 24 7
Ive had my HKS kit sitting next to my supra for like 2 months. Ive watched your videos numerous times. I need to take the leap and just try to install it. haha
That is a wild looking kit for sure and having some body experience myself, you are 100% correct saying that EVERY kit needs massaging to fit up correctly, especially fiberglass ones. They always take a good amount of playing with to make it right. R888'S FTW. Great tire, have used them on a TON of cars. Yes, these are basically a z4 but there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever. The DCT trans is definitely fast, and if you're more into the 1320, you may choose it over the manual. I'm a big bimmer guy. Was a tech at a BMW stealership, and used to have my own business building and doing fab work with mainly BMW track car prep. I'm really into the older ones, from e36 and up. I've personally owned 8 of them, and they are fun cars to build and drive. They make a great basis to start from as the engineers really knew what they were doing, but you can certainly improve on them even more. You want an n54 or n55 based 335i from your description. The n54 with a big single and all the supporting mods is hard to beat as an awesome daily. Plus you can still get them with three pedals. If I had to choose, from any of the newer chassis bimmers it would definitely be an e90 or f30 335i. Only issues that should be addressed on them mainly is the HP fuel pump, injectors, and water pump/ t-stat. Take care of the maintenance, and you have a pretty reliable daily that can be well over 600whp with rather minor work. Hats off to you for some good content man. I enjoyed this one, keep it coming.
Oh yea i dont know much about them but i deff see their potential now. So crazy the technology with these and the value for used ones is pretty affordable. I guess the maintenance on them is what drives the value down but thats no problem for me. Deff considering it for my next comfortable daily.
@@mattFNpratt Exactly.... first a DIY'er they aren't terribly difficult to do maintenance on at all. If you have half a brain and can turn a wrench you can pretty much do most jobs on them that you would need to tackle as preventative maintenance/ repairs. You get A LOT of car for the money with them when it comes to the prices out there. No doubt about it
Damn thats look mean awesome project!! But how yoy gonna do with coilovers? The gap is to big and if you lower the car de frontsplitter will survive for 1 day 😜😜
Haha right?? Well we don't exactly know what we are going to do. It might be air. It might be a different wheel setup... But we are thinking the same thing.
@@JamesJones-er3wc alot of the drift guys do that now. They use the new 2020 chasis and use the 2j....but you know these bmw motors make some power and seems to be easy. So I'm curious how far people take them. Check it out they are making good numbers.
@@mattFNpratt No matter how much that BMW motor makes it will never stand up to a 2j. I'm a eg Honda guy but I love the 2j Mark 4 even before fast and furious even was thought about.
@@JamesJones-er3wc Lol I'm with ya about 2js but we will find out. You never know what the Toyota engineers seen in that bmw motor that we don't yet....or toyota could be lazy and just took the easy route. And same here I'm an ek guy. I built hondas because they were cheap underdog cars. Never could afford a mk4 back in the day and especially now unless it was this way.
