@@DafuckyallLookingAt 3.5 is a good motor and can take quite a bit of boost. most people hate on it because its an open deck design, but so was the 4.0
The 4.0 Tacoma prerunner for sure launches a little harder than the 3.5 Tacoma and the 4.0 top speed is 115. The 3.5 gets a little better mpg thanks to the 6 speed transmission.
268 ft pounds of torque but its really reduced to 240 ft punds of torque. Too slow try that on a Lexus GS430 L-Tunned at 325 ft pound of torque at 1800 RPM and that is at the crank.
if somebody wants to see the top speed of tacoma, it must bbe in a factory tires... the more bigger tire the more slow... i have tacoma in stock tire it can run more than 120 miles an hour. and it is a 4x2 sr5 2022.. trx ram is nothi ng when it comes to long distance racing
i 100% agree. And this is already an improvement over the 4.0L/5 speed combo that's in the 4runner.... but an 8-10 speed in this would work wonders keeping it high in the powerband.
The transmission is extremely slow and soggy, its tuned for fuel economy and it does get pretty good mpg, but there is usually a big delay when you step on it.
Yep definitely different power bands. The 4.0 has low end power compared to the 3.5 top end power. I personally enjoy the 4.0 low end torque paired with 3.73 gearing of the line .
