Well what do you think, would you buy a new Tundra? If there are any owners out there, I would love to hear from you as well. Follow on Instagram @exhaustsports to see what car I work on next. Or you may become a Patreon member. Thank you again for stopping, take care.
I testdrove 1 yesterday ,2021 , sr5 4x4 trd - sport package , crew cab What a great feeling . 47k msrp. If they drop the price u might see me driving 1 soon.
we have a 2017 TRD Pro and a 2020 ram 1500 longhorn. Tundra definitely more fun to drive and sounds nice too. Ram is crazy comfortable with the air ride suspension. Tundra also feels bigger and wider than the ram. Tundra is nicer imo
Yea but you know the general consensus behind trucks America over everything lol. I'm all about keeping it real and when I see journalists constantly knocking this and not appreciating the tweaks they made over the years, it really pisses me off because it misleads the public. Yes the American trucks perform great and are refined but the Tundra is now also a great riding truck that is as refined as its American counterparts with like you said the reliability and true resale. As a package, the Tundra is now my choice for sure and for work purposes, it has always been our choice since trucks are not a toy for us
What is a work truck an F 150? An F 150 fits in the bed of a Tundra it's so puny which is why my father uses a Tundra for work and not these other American trucks because they're so tiny. Yes you can buy those ridiculous diesel trucks that is not needed by 99% of the working populous for like 80k but I live in reality
American counterparts? We all know this is built in Texas, using USA components. Toyota is, overall, the best auto manufacturer on the planet. They are seldom the latest and greatest for features, but they have a code of honor. It sounds corny, but its true. If someone screws up, they're handed a short sword and expected to go out back and do the right thing.
Just bought a 2021 TRD 4x4 Tundra in army green. Absolutely love the truck. Just bought it 1 week ago. Everytime I drive it I fall even more in love with it.
Massive congrats my friend and gorgeous color love it! We may be joining you, my father I think will bite the bullet and get a 2021 Cement TRD, it's been our most favorite new Truck we've driven, these other reviewers don't give it the time of day
@@MeynMotorGroup yes sir 👏. I have a few friends with tundras and they said they wouldn't trade any other truck for it. You can't beat the reliability of a toyota. While other trucks look pretty, a tundra will outlast any of them. competitors.
@@ckrumme2331 Yea this is true but honestly driving some of these Japanese vehicles is what made me love them. Brand new all these cars come with a warranty so we never worried about reliability but these Journalists only seem to favor American and German cars. I like driving the Tundra more than ram and I enjoy driving the Lexus LC 500 more than any German car. Reliability is cherry on top for sure
I just watched ur two review videos and I'm loving u already. It is so true that the tundra has gone through minor changes that a lot of these reviewers don't realize
Thanks so much my friend really appreciate you checking out the content that means a lot to me. Yea idk what is up with some of these reviewers, all I want is for them to give credit where credit is due
"On par with American Trucks?" ... it IS an American truck lol. In fact, it's more "American" than some of the trucks from the Big Three - that is, more parts come from the USA.
Enjoyed your review. Have a 2016 Tundra with only 46K. At age 70, they should be able to load my coffin in the back and have transportation home. No troubles and no worries.
I highly doubt the average American truck freak knows that a Tundra and many other Yotas are built in Texas. They probably think Toyota is a Commi China company lets be real.
I agree the tundra don’t get the love Ford and dodge and Chevy get. I traded my 2014 king ranch for a 19 tundra limited TRD off road and I absolutely love this truck
Yes, yes, and another yes. I will be buying a new Tundra. I've owned several cars and trucks from every brand and an 100% settled on the Tundra for my next vehicle.
I do enjoy learning about cars, trucks, and suvs. The fuel economy seems to be on the lower end of things. For the people that daily drive a tundra, do you find yourself at the gas pump alot? I'm curious. From my research it seems to be very reliable and durable and it looks very attracting.
Your are right tundras maybe at the gas ⛽a lot but Ram GM and Ford not only at the gas ⛽ but l also seen them at the mechanic shops a lot maybe nice trucks but ship low quality all ways braking is not the same test driving to compare with quality,!!!
Great review of the Tundra, it is a special truck. However, the way you affectionately mention the Ram, blows my mind. It would be the absolute last truck I would even consider. Do some research, they are a money pit, and a mechanical nightmare. You may like the way it looks, but quality is severely lacking in the Ram.
Now Rams are my all time favorite trucks but this one looks amazing too honestly, and I think we can all agree that "What's cooking good lookin" should be your new intro 😆. And by the way, I don't know if you already do this, but using tags or hash tags help your videos appear more to viewers, awesome videos as always 😁
Haha that's a good one I was going to say what's kickin chicken next lol yea I still love Ram for sure and yea I used to use hashtags but then totally forgot about them, need to start using them again. Thank you my man always great to have your support
I've had 06, 07, 08, 13 and 16 tundras..never a single issue with any of them. It's tough as nails. Had a 15 f150 and both turbos blew out by 50k miles and had a cylinder drop in a 16 and blew the motor.. never again. Tundras may seem old but everything works because they've solved almost every problem whereas American trucks just keep release new models without fixing issues (gm tranny shake anyone?)
One difference is that variance in rear axle housing. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Nissan all go with cast center differential gear housing with two pressed in tubes. But, Toyota, uses a welded together differential construction. I've wondered if there was any pros or cons to it and why Toyota differs.
American trucks big problems they make a mistake engine or transmission ect next gen get a new engine or transmission ect , Toyota make a mistake they don’t replace the prosthetic fixed that why 5.7 Toyota is a reliable engine
The F150 5.0 is not what it seems. I have a 2019 F150 XLT with the 5.0 and its burning around 2 - 2.5 quarts per 5000 miles. It rides beautifully but the fact that my engine is burning at 23,000 km (14,290 miles) is sickening. I'm in the process of trading it in for a 2020 Tundra off-road
Ahh jeez sorry to hear that yea I did hear about the oil burning but forgot to mention it. So unfortunate because I really like the F-150. Hondas have this oil burning issue too simple things ruining great cars really sucks. How do you like the 2020 Tundra? Does it drive good to you?
The keyless entry and push button start is actually a safety feature. I knew someone who got in an accident and their knee got jacked up when it hit the key.
Everyone always forgets to mention the factory 4.10 rear end. The Tundra is a towing beast and gets off the line in a hurry. Especially when you push the tow/haul button.
People probably don't mention it because specs can be read online and most don't even know what that is lol People just want to know the towing number but honestly trucks can tow more than what the manufacturer claims
Despite the term "off road" the bilstein dampers help the Tundra ride and handle a lot better on the road compared to a regular Tundra so buyers always try their best to get the package. Plus it helps with resale value
@@MeynMotorGroup i don't know. If I get a base model sr with 4wd, it's like 35k. But if I want the sr5 with the base offroad package, 4wd and duel exhaust, it's 49.7k. Theres almost a 15k in savings already
Oh yea I completely forgot how over inflated nice Tundras people can just go buy a 6.2l Ford F250 with options for that price. Yea up to you idk how much those shocks cost and what your mechanic will charge
We live 4-7 miles away from any job site. You don’t need our job what people need to do is move closer to where they work and stop commuting these 100-200 mile one way trips. Costing people a fortune for no reason
@@MeynMotorGroup that is easier said than done... Especially when your job moves and you are close to retirement.. With that said, even when I was in a military and lived on base, I never used so few miles. . Don't get me wrong, not mad at you... In reality I am envious. If I had yours, with my RAV4 Prime that gets 42 miles electric, I would never use gas
@@MrMarkwill62 yes you’re correct that is easier said than done but I would wager at least trying to move especially if young, to a different apartment or home even if it can shave off 10-20 miles is huge. Driving more than necessary is not only expensive but dangerous. The more time you spend on the road the more chance of an accident and back issues. The costs saved by not incurring so many miles, maintenance, repairs, and fuel can also help fund the move to a more expensive location to live.
I did see a brand new F 150 just got released I do think the F 150 is a solid truck and I heard they are continuing to keep the V8 for the new Generation so that's great.
I have a 19 tundra coming from a ram and they are good trucks but not perfect, I'm disappointed they got rid of the external trans cooler in 2019, overall tho good solid trucks, however if your looking for the latest and greatest look elsewhere, I'll admit the tundy is a bit dated.
