I’m the bleary-eyed fellow yakking with Jay. Thanks to everyone for watching. This was an incredible experience. I wish we could have delved into some of the more technical aspects of the bike, but I’m so happy the feel of it translated. It truly is a remarkable machine. Thank you as well to Jay and his amazing team. Exploring the garage never fails to take away my breath.

I was so impressed with this engine when it first came out and always felt it never achieved the success it deserved, it's great to see Triumph is still working on it and now it seems more tempting than ever. Have you guys ever considered using this engine in a go cart or mini car, I thought it had potential to create it's own class perhaps track only. If I had some extra money burning a hole in my pocket I'd by the bike Jay rode.

I bought one of the limited edition TFC versions. I had one of the older Rocket 3's previously (plus a T120 and a couple of Harleys) and just love this bike more than anything. It handles so much better than the previous version and, as Jay says, it stops really well when you consider its weight. The weight is low down so its dead easy to balance. I love mine. Its number 448 out of only 750 made and the TFC edition is slightly different from both the ones on Jay's show. The finishes are amazing. It has so much torque that 1st and 2nd are almost unnecessary. It is an incredible piece of engineering. Like Jay I am also getting a bit old for Café Racer positions. This is ideal for me. I love it. It's like taking a big, happy puppy out for a walk (well maybe a bit more challenging than that).

I had a '73 Triumph Trident (the Rocket 3 was made be BSA back then). Nice bike, but it vibrated like nobodies business. When I out for a ride I always took a couple of taillight bulbs because the vibration shattered bulb filaments. I also took a master link having lost one on more than one occasion. I managed to hard ground the left hand exhaust pipe while going round a bend a bit too exuberantly which led to the installation of a Hooker header. On the way back to the car from The Grease Pit on Telegraph Ave in Bezerkely I was accosted by a pair of lady's of the night, er... afternoon. Sorry says I, showing them the box, I already have a hooker. Lucky for me they thought that was funny... I imagine that 2020 version of a Rocket 3 is much better behaved when it comes to electrics (Lucas, the prince of darkness) and probably doesn't have puddle of oil under it. Maybe the clutch actually works (the '73 Tridents had a single dry plate automotive clutch with a ball bearing throw out bearing which didn't work well when hot - such as if I was sitting at a red light with the clutch pulled. After maybe 20 seconds the bike would start nudging forward. Had to stop it, then re-kick start it when the lite turned green). Oh the things we give up with a modern bike. It was said to run 12.8 quarter miles by the cycle mags. Thanks for the view of modernity.

Is 40 even considered old these days? I mean, even the "old white dude" that people would expect to be Triumph's PR guy had to start at some decent age right? Either way, at the price point of this bike you're not going to find twenty-somethings flocking to Triumph to get one just because of this somewhat seemingly young PR guy. I think Triumph is too smart to pull what Harley did. They know better than to piss off the purists.

My roommate back in the mid 80's had a 250 Honda Rebel. I took it for a ride once and made the mistake of getting on the freeway. 75 MPH was the end of the world on that bike, and all the traffic around me was going 75 and over. There was no way to power _out_ of trouble. The tires were so thin that it kept sticking in the rain grooves and had to be shoved just to change lanes. It was NOT a fun bike to ride. Every time I watch a Leno's Garage episode, I'm reminded of my dad, who got me into motorcycles and absolutely loved watching Jay's channel as well as the tonight show. He was a car guy too and passed away with 13 project cars, after just completing his dream garage. His garage had a bathroom, air conditioning, about as much shelving for parts as an Autozone warehouse, and four brand new hydraulic lifts. Sad to see he really didn't get to work on the cars in his new dream garage, but he told me before that for him the fun was in the project itself, not the completion of it, so because of that I've got to think he really enjoyed himself building that garage that took years. Sometimes the anticipation is better than the final result. I kept his American Graffiti '32 Ford Coupe to finish myself because it was the star of his garage and his favorite I think. I will take it to cruises in tribute to my dad.
