For those who are considering the purchase of a 2020 Jeffsy, I created this video to highlight what you get in the pack and show the details of the components.
Amazing review Joey! I have just recently started pedaling MTB this year and picked up a 2020 Giant Trance 3 29er... I have been contemplating getting another bike and after all my reads online, I am seriously leaning towards the Jeffsy. I think your review just put me over the top and solidified my decision. LOL ;) Great video! What to you think are the best things about this bike? I am pretty much a beginner at MTB but apparently this is a great all-around bike for my trail needs here in dry Phoenix, AZ trails.
i dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Robert Rudy i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
im looking at the base models in black, then making a few adjustments to make it my own. adding possibly purple stem, purple pedals, purple seat clamp and grips
you should take a look at some radon bikes, also a german bike brand with exceptional value for money. I orderd a Radon Swoop 170 in Aluminium for 3k euro with full fox with a 36 Grip 2, great bikes over there just like canyon and yt
Thanks for the vid dude, I’ve been really debating the YT Jeffsy vs Canyon Spectral, but I think I’ll go for the Jeffsy because it has a flip-chip and more modern geometry
@@joeblack4026 i've sat on both of them and i prefer the spectral by a long-shot the YT felt more nimble tbh but the spectral was a lot more confidence inducing
diggumvt04 I don’t have anything to compare it to, but am climbing a good amount at my local trail. Once I set the rebound a little faster, it hooked up very nicely. I cruise up sections and can see where other guys are spinning a rut. The bike feels great- the only thing that that holds me back from being faster, is me :)
Nelson Wainwright-Wordsworth IV I went with XL but think I might go with L if I were you. I’m 6’2 and given they stretched out the larger models this year- when my post is fully extended, I wish it I had just a bit less room. However, you’ll be just fine on an XL if you went for it
Hey man, great video. I want to order mine this week but Im stuck on sizing. Im 6'3" and dont know if to go for XL or XLL because YT charts says my height is right between sizes. What would you recommend ? Thanks.
He says in this video he’s about 6’ 2”-6’ 3”ish. This is an XL in the video. Check out the finished build next to him. Looks sufficient to me but you be the judge
Im still undecided if I want to go for the Jeffsy or the capra. Same color. Hows the engagement of the rear hub? Is there a lot of slack when you pedal. Is it very noisy when you coast?
JR Espinoza hey! So the bike felt TIGHT when riding it around my driveway, which is all the riding I could get in this weekend unfortunately. Very little power loss from crank to wheel. The NX Eagle has the same technology as the GX so your not really losing with NX. Just the part are a little more plastic and it a smidge heavier (we’re talking grams). Also, I debated the Capra too thinking that the Jeffsy wouldn’t hold up or was too thin/weak for hard hit. To my surprise, this thing is a beast itself. I should have stated this in my video as I’m glad I opted for the Jeffsy. Capra is a pure downhill bike- too much of everything for trail riding. The cassette is one of those loud annoying one’s but you can always replace that easily.
get the jeffsy and if you want it to bee more slack put 27,5 wheel in the back, that will lower the BB to 330mm and HA to 64. So geo wise you will have capra with less suspension
@@joeblack4026 Hey, my comment was made a while ago and in that time I decided and got the Capra. LOL. I am happy with it, the thing us a tank and roll over everything super easy. It feels very heavy on the climbs, but that is a trade off I'm willing to live with.
Thanks to you, ended up buying same bike! Now you owe me an answer for my next question 😅: Dose it come with a tubeless valve? (I need to order one online if not, hopefully should arrive around the same time as the bike)
Bro Ive ben looking for an unboxing or This Bike 4 Ever thanks m8 I also discovered what the hub sounds like. Mine should arrive in some weeks. Question: in the page it said available from august 28 so does that mean they send it the 28 or it arrives the 28?
Good question! My guess would be that it’s avail in the factory for shipment on 8/28. I was actually surprised how fast I got mine on the east coast from a approx shipment date. Good luck with your new ride man!
Hey Joey - how do you like the Jeffsy comp and the dune grey now after riding it for 4+ months? I have the same bike in my cart on the YT website but nervous to submit. Lol. Thanks
Hey! I absolutely love it. Ride, color, everything. Don’t hesitate- you’ll be happy you bought it. FYI- I’m 6’2 and could have gotten the size L frame, but I’m very happy XL. Get upgraded peddles!
Im 5’ 8 and want a bike that i can grow into im currently riding a 2018 bronson size medium and my dad whos 6’ 6 want me to upsize tp an xxl jeffsy. Im 13 so ill probably get a lot taller but should i get the xl or xxl?
Cfop Cop Im 6’2 and would say I’m in between an L and XL frame the more I ride it. You may not like the long reach if you get a frame too large. I would say get the L right now, then when you hit 6’6, sell your bike and get the XXL.
Separate add on item that pops up in a handy menu along with pedals/chain guide/frame protection when you order. Do yourself a massive favour and pay the extra 80 dollars or whatever for frame wrap. All carbon bikes need em in my opinion and its a headache putting them on (4-5 hours of swearing) let alone ordering the right bloody kit from invis for that specific bike. 100% essential upgrade.
Hi, great video thanks. I am also thinking about getting a YT bike for training. Just curious, why did you o for the Jeffsy? Did you consider the Capra at all and if why did you decide to go for the Jeffsy and what made you choose the Comp version? A lot of questions, bare with me 😄
cwmikael all good questions: 1. Why Jeffsy? I knew I would be doing more trail riding than anything (flats, climbs, mild downhill) and didn’t want the extra weight and rake of the Capra. I’m glad I picked the Jeffsy. Don’t be fooled- It’s a beast of a bike. Capra is for more aggressive downhill- park style with man made jumps etc.. while aim all about that, I knew it wouldn’t be my 90% on the bike. You might be the opposite- I don’t know. Just be honest with yourself about where you’ll ride the most and make the decision based on that. If you do, you love either for the proper terrain.
cwmikael 2. I chose the comp, because the upgrades weren’t enough to justify the extra $$. The components are simply separated by type of material, vs different technology. If I want, Incan always upgrade later, but the NX has been more than fine thus far. The YT guys actually talked me out of going a model higher as well!
Holiday Joey268 thanx a lot for the clear answers. I think you have convined me also to get the capra and Comp version. The frame is capable for any upgrades if needed. Enjoy you bike, hope the colour is nice as you mention, bc the ghost ship green would otherwise be my choise but I trust you on the more gray hue to the comp color 👌
Holiday Joey268 I bought the Base model on Tuesday and got an email they shipped it last night, a week before the estimated too. I’m extremely stoked as it’s my first full suspension.
Cycling Cal low gloss meaning that while it’s a gloss paint, it doesn’t shine. Dirt doesn’t penetrate as far as I’ve seen. It’s not like a matte paint in comparison
@@MrSatchelpack you're getting less spec for the money. In the low to upper mid range. It wasn't like that before. There actually no advantage in buying yt now over a brand like norco
