Commercial fishing is the primary source of income for many communities in Alaska. It's a dangerous job, but the rewards are worth the risks. Commercial fishing has been criticized a lot in the media recently. It's no debate that some of the ocean's resources are being depleted, and we need to change the way we approach certain fisheries. Alaska herring fisheries are generally regarded as highly monitored, but some people believe we are taking too much. Instead of shutting the fishery down altogether, I think we need to listen to the voices of indigenous people to reach a sustainable solution. With this in mind, I hope you enjoy the video!
