Today I FINALLY a get my hands on a 2021 Canam Commander to review Really impressive machine and you guys definitely need to check them out Head to Bay Marine and mention my channel for the best deal possible!
Great vid man, I saw a 2022 Comnander Max at dealer, wow the 4 seater with the Box looks like a freaking Sand Rail you'd see in a desert running on 2 wheels doing a 100 mph ++ It's quite impressive looking in the same Blue as you reviewed, I'd love to have either one!! 👍👍😎
@@CommanderOutdoors So true, as I mature, lol I tend to lean towards sports that just require me to HANG ON FOR DEAR LIFE!! Seems to be working so far.... LMAO
This would be a serious contender however i think Can am could have at least adjusted the price of things accordingly. In Canada the XT 1000R MSRP is $25,199CAD plus Fright and PDI The Yamaha Rmax lists for $24,999CAD plus freight and PDI, and it comes with piggyback adjustable shocks and 30" radial tires as standard. Plus also has a fully lockable front differential. Adding a estimated cost of $800 for a winch install it would bring the price up to $25,799 Theres no aftermarket shock package or 30" tire add on and add the cost of the Can-AM smartlock at about $1900 that can make up for the $600 difference you will pay with an RMAX. I if priced at say $21,500ish CAD, for the 1000R, i'd have the new commander in the barn. As it sit's now, it's out of the running and that's too bad because the newly re-designed machine looks really well built.
While I agree with the Rmax having more stuff, the price for the XT 800r which is what was featured in the video is actually cheaper than the RMax. Yes it’s less power but I’ve driven the 1000r and 800r motors and I can honestly say that for my Style of riding, the power difference is marginal at best. There’s also more accessories from the factory and more storage on the machine than the rmax as well, But hey man to each their own right?
I'm 6'4" and couldn't fit in one of these. Just looking at you at 6'2" looks like your knees are in the Dash. Would have bought one it they weren't so crammed in the cab. Went 950 cf moto Zforce and love the machine.
Sorry but the Yamaha RMAX2 XTR model gives you 8 more HP, premium Fox shocks, 30" Carnivore tires, 14.2"/16.9" F/R suspension travel, 13.8" of ground clearance, larger brake rotors, superior engine braking, reverse LEDs, dry sump oil system, D-mode, Adventure Pro, soft touch interior, interior lighting and backlit switches, a Warn VRX 4500 winch, pre-cut accessory switch cutouts, superior passenger grab handle, the best EPS in the industry along with the best CVT in the industry backed by a 10 year belt warranty. I'd have to say it's a better value.
You’re comparing the top trim level Yamaha to the mid level Canam, which isn’t completely fair. Also the XTR RMAX retails for around 30k, even the top XTP commander isn’t that expensive. Emphasis on the phrase “bang for your buck” For 30 grand id expect to get everything the RMAX has. Whereas the vehicle in this video is around the 23-24k mark. Way way cheaper and still tons of value for money
@@CommanderOutdoors In the US, the XTR is actually the mid level and LE is top of the line, but even the base RMAX2 comes with 30" tires and premium shocks.
Ok well I’m reviewing based on the Canadian market and what’s available up here to us. Yes the RMAX comes with bigger tires and better shocks. However it doesn’t have the level of storage the commander has, in my opinion the commander is more versatile than the RMAX
"I'm 6'2" and have lots of room" as his knees are rubbing against the dash. What about WIDTH? The new Commander is over 8" narrower inside than the old one.
