Day three of four. Jumping off rock trailhead to Walker's creek trailhead. Backpacked quick today and made it to camp early. Split day 3 into 3 videos....hike, rescue, and party.
Dude...that climb to the eagle's Nest was a brutal one! Indian marker tress...I have been saying the exact same thing for years, but no one wants to hear that! LOL! And those Bojangles biscuits were the ticket! We made it to Eagle's Nest, snapped a few pics and then Shane heard there were biscuits. His reply, "Boys, we can't let those biscuits get cold!" That was the fastest i saw him hike all weekend! LOL! The amount of mushrooms in the Uwharrie was impressive. Enjoyed the video, Charles! We seem to have noticed a lot of the same things, but I did miss the treestand. that was cool.
Thanks for the comment. Good thing you guys made it to the biscuits, I heard that there were not enough for everyone. I have another video in the works where we went to check on Shane at the last road crossing. I think I may have forced his pride from letting him take the rescue shuttle.
The tree at the camp 5 junction has been certified as an actual native american trail tree. And I think that was the best biscuit and coffee I've ever had haha!!
