One of my favorite things about your reviews is you sound like you're having a lotta fun. Some sound so serious when they're reviewing action figures and it just kinda kills the vibe for me. Keep up the great work, Shiz!
the head sculpt is a bit off (same goes to Skeletor) ... hopefully Mattel will give us a better one in the future (along with coming figures or accessories set) ...

Not bad at all, well done Mattel. The stylized anatomy and chunky proportions of the show really compliment their design teams. Pinless joints, extensive articulation, a suite of accessories, and great box art. Nice! They seem to still be struggling a bit with their humanoid character figures (He-Man's head is a little wacky) but this is a marked improvement from their DC Multiverse line. Battle Cat is fantastic; as always, their creatures and animals are exceptional.
Dangit Mattel! I'm not even done collecting Origins!!!! now you come out with these amazing collectibles more centered at the adult collector than Origins, that have just enough nostalgia for those of us who grew up with the original but better posing and detail and realistic proportions.... Honestly I'm not sold on Skelegod, but the show might change my mind....
super excited for this line and glad u did this video! hate that chest piece they used for torso on he man tho! Not his H but the top chest part over the torso. it comes off weird and almost yellow looking now that see video. it makes his upper abs look like armor and not like muscle. i duno i'd have rather had the crunch in the abs instead of having that weird part. hope they take second look at that and tone down the yellow jaundice look lol
I remember wanting to get the toyline from the 200x series, but my parents would've totally chewed me out for getting them. This reminds me a lot of that line, so I'm gonna try to snag them all. Thanks for the review!
Finally got to order a Battle Cat from Target. Should be here Sunday!!! Looking forward to He-Man. I liked the sculpt well enough, and just gotta do a little custom paint deco.

I really don't like to diaphragm joint it seems like they're using a ring joint instead of ball joint and that's why the figure always snaps forward. They need to go to a standard ball joint for future waves.
Found Skelegod at Target, and OMG I’m so excited for the rest to get released. I’m REALLY hoping for that badass Teela we saw in the promo image in the next wave. Also: HE-HARNESS. Lol I’m 100% borrowing that.
@@ToyShiz the torso and the knees are a bit loose but since yesterday the figure is moving with me in the house. I understand why they didn't put some flockage on him. Too many details. Maybe we will get a regular Masterverse Moss Man along the way who will be more vintage accurate 😜 I think it's gonna be a great line. Can't wait for the others to arrive. I collect Motu since 1982 and I have around 50m2 and almost all Motu collections, goodies books, comics, etc. In France I also run my Musclor. Org group and site (almost closed now since the images host changed the interface I don't feel doing again more than 250 pages in the site). So I run Musclor. Org group, MortalG channel and page, my own KITT car replica page and group with the actress of the series as Godmother and the French voice of KITT as Godfather. I'm having fun and always do at neatly 50 next July 😜
I snoozed on the Classics Batt!e Cat, but I do have Panthor and Battle Lion, so this will be a nice variation and I will make the Classics figures look great on it!
I wish the power sword hand angles the other way, but this is a great base figure. i will definitely be doing some customizing on him. My pelvis is a bit wonky and I cant get him on battle cat properly, but Its forgivable. I found your video to see if it was just me.
Conflicted on this line. I missed classics and the price point now is too high for me to want to get into them. Still have my figures from childhood so origins figures don’t do a lot for me and I like a more realistic look. I have grabbed some of the Mondo figures which look amazing but the price is rough if you are going to try to make a collection of them and 12” isn’t my ideal scale. Was hoping these were going to look a little more detailed kind of like what Hasbro did with G.I. Joe Classified……Might sit this out unless I really like what the next wave looks like, or hope a more detailed looking line is in the future.
Where they are kinda taking this line is still vague, is it more of a MASTERVERSE in the sense that all manner of Heman properties will be made, or will it stay Revelation. I’d say wait it out if you’re on the fence, or heck if you end up liking the new cartoon. Thanks for watching
I have issues with the sculpt face of He-Man.....but watching it on video looks a bit better than in photos...but the skin tone is a bit....yellowish? Hahahaha love your last quote on the video "just have fun"
I wish he had a scabbard for the sword, or even a slot in the back of the armor like the Classics line. This was always an issue that plagued me since the 80s.
its not just his nose that makes him look like Owen Wilson but the whole head. But i get a kick out of that and i like this He-Man any way. hope its not to hard to track all thease MOTU revelation figures down. but i'll give it a try.
@@Charmander009 probably, but maybe more like a better-looking brother to Owen. ha ha no big deal, just something i kinda could see. But either way it's not a deal-breaker I'm still going to get the bastard when I find him. ha ha
The stupid decision to go with those big loincloths means none of the characters will sit on Battle Cat, they just float a few inches above. Really silly because the Battle Cat is such a great looking figure but dwarfs the origins stuff.
They look cool. I'm just surprised the rout they took to introduce the line with Moss Man and an unattractive version of Evil Lynn, instead of going with Duncan, Teela, BeastMan, Merman and Zodac, like the original line.
What's better than I thought,, from a distance. Saddle should be more secure and stiffer. And closer look at He-Man he looks more childish, plastic a cheap. Curious about in person. Maybe I'm seeing it wrong
Mattel should have made a Masterverse BAF line. In each figure comes a piece of a new figure; probably it would boost the sales since this feeling of reward was well consecrated in Marvel Legends and lots of action figures line copied it.
I want the He-Man as Evil Heracles for my Dark Avengers to fight Hercules, Evil Lyn as the White Haired Witch for my Earth Between as I need more villains there, and Moss Man I am throwing into my DC Earth 2 because I need more villains there. I have a 26 member Justice Society on Earth 2 and only 13 villains, half of them are not even Earth 2 villains.
@@Charmander009 ha. Well I'm sorry. His arms reach nearly down to his knees. Those aren't heroic proportions in my opinion. Besides, I've done it before. For example with the DC Essentials figures. Cut some of the forearm away near the wrist, dremel the peg for the hands deeper. It's not hard. As a matter of fact I might just carve what remains of the forearm a bit, so he doesn't look like popeye, and then resculpt with some putty and paint.
It's not rumor but it makes sense within the story. Adam loses the power sword (which is why Skeletor becomes Skelegod & the figure has both the sword & H on his chest) so Teela, the future sorceress has to step up in his place. There's also probably a sub plot of if Adam hadn't kept his secret from Teela, he might not have lost the sword. They're the character arcs that will make the story. It's not bait & switch & it's not sjw type tactics. It works to advance the story of Adam one day becoming King He-Man & Teela the new Sorceress as was always within the mythology.
@@darrellhardy4532 shouldn't it be prince Adam that has to go through the journey of getting his sword and friends back? That would make more sense and teela is there to help him. That's really how it should go if it's heman and the masters of the universe.

Lets say he loses the sword & is then absent after being sent through a portal away from Eternia or on the other side of Eternia, who steps up while he's trying to find his way back?? Teela does. Done it before in the original series so why are people having such a hard time with this type of story now?? I may be assuming here but it takes a lot more to offend me with such stories. At the end of the day the dynamic is about to change. Most likely Teela will now find out Adam was He-Man all along. Hence the revelation. Btw dropping He-Man from the title is indicitive to me of He-Man being absent for some of the story hence the Masters led by Teela have to step up in his place. Im guessing as the show will be aired in 2 lots of 5 episodes, the first half may end on a cliffhanger with Adam going missing & Skeletor becoming Skelegod thanks to him gaining the sword & the power of greyskull.
I have some of my vintage toys from MOTU, and I'm trying to get most of the origins line, but I don't know about this one, I'm not too happy with the faces, they look too cartoonie, and in the animation they don't look like that.
Nice review. Battle Cat seems too big. The back side of the horn of the mask with the hollow part looks cheap. Saddle is too soft and He-Man will definitely wobble and doesn't fit well. He-Man's head, chest and harness is unfortunately too small to the rest of his body. The left gauntlet is nicely redesigned, shield is nice too, sword is kinda ok. Hope Teela will turn out much better.
What's the use of such launching such products if poor kids like me can't afford them due to their high price in countries like India? Anyways, I always like the Filmation versions.
