Phil, hope all is well and looking forward to your mods! I sold my 2014 (with your mirror harnesses) and now have a 2019. Looking forward to a power folding mirror mod. - Dino
@@philgamboa2906 I have a 2020 TB with towing mirrors. Would love to swap them out for power folding towing mirrors. Any idea as to when this might be possible?
Thank you for sharing. Cannot wait to see all the mods for this truck. I bet the dealer was scratching their heads on the trade in. All the upgrades you did they had to change the codes in the glove box.
I demodded most of the items. Left the heated/cooled seats, LTZ headlights, DL3 Mirrors. Also left the DVD/BluRay and flip down. I told my sales guy who I was and explained the mods. Likely how they sold it so fast.
Maaaaan, I enjoyed the mods you made to your 2016 Silverado. I have a 2014 Sierra and it helped me add some mods to it. I'm gonna miss the mods done to the last gen model, but I'm looking forward and interested in how your new mods will turn out.
Great job buddy. I got mine done following your steps. I have a 2020 GMC sierra and its the same procedure. Now I'm looking to get front sensor added to my truck.
@@philgamboa2906 hey Sir, you think you can make a harness for my sensors. I purchased the module, front and rear sensors with each bumper harness but I need a harness from the bumper plugs to the cab... just like the one you made for your old black truck.
I purchased and programmed the parking sensors module, but when I was about to install the module, after removing the seat and panels. I discovered that my truck doesn't have the harnesses for the parking module. I'm in the works of buying the harnesses for the module. I purchased the harnesses and parking sensors from a wrecked 2020 Denali... paid about 200 for all 8 sensors and harnesses.
Definitely thinking about doing this on my 2020 Sierra. Im excited to see all the new content for the newer trucks.... My wife on the other hand not so much 😂. Keep up the good work
Great vid! I was interested to call my local dealer service and parts center. After some research to purchase a 2021 high country gauge cluster from a parts center is $350. To have Service dept program the cluster they charge $169.88. Still researching but this seems to be about $150 less if this option is similar with the site you suggested. Hope this helps anyone looking to research and price.
Looks great! I'm picking up a 2021 Silverado RST tomorrow. Coming from a 2015 Denali with the bigger digital cluster this will be an upgrade to my RST I'll definitely be doing.
Cool info and step by step instructions. I just bought the same exact truck in the same color and all. Looking forward to more upcoming mod videos. Thank you
:) - Hoping to find some time to really dig into this platform. Been on extended work travels lately and trying to find balance :). Appreciate your kinds words.
Phil, great channel. Absolutely love it! Are you considering adding the passive door locks to the 2 rear doors on your crew cab? The Sierra SLT, AT4, & Denali have it. Apparently they were included on the 2019 models and Chevy stipped it from the 2020 model. My '20 High Country does not have them but I'd like to add them. Keep up the great work!
@@philgamboa2906 so excited to see you with a T1 truck! I bought some mirrors and your diy harness kits for my 2015. Looking forward to adding folding mirrors and the rear door lock buttons also.
Awesome work! I know a lot of people will be excited to follow your lead. Did you truck come with navigation? I was wondering if your new cluster would show the speed limit in the top left corner but wasn’t sure if it registers biased off the infotainment maps.
Thanks! My truck did not come with NAV but will be pulling my radio module out to send to WAMS to get that added. Once added, the speed limit will show. It goes get that from NAV.
I called my dealership parts store they priced $350 and service department quoted $169.88 to program the cluster and you can pick it up same day mostly. Hope this helps.
Do you know if the turn signal mirrors can be put on the 19-21? Or a bigger bonus would be if power folding mirrors could be added? Have a 2021 LT 3.0L(for anyone thinking about the diesel, definitely pick one up!!)
I have a project in my 2018 silverado sigle cab I occupy many harnesses I want to put a steering wheel with heat, central console with charger, heat seats not cool and the passenger is manual and I want to make it electric. Can you tell me what do I need?
The HUD opening is actually on the dash part rather than the cluster hood. I have a complete dash take and working on gathering all those parts. I’ve heard, that the dash frame is slightly modified to accommodate the much larger HUD projector... so we’ll have to see.
Can you program, or buy a harness for the seats that come with heated and cooling to make them work? on a 2018 silverado pickup that don't have front controls
Hi Phil...do you think the 360 cameras will be a viable option to add on DIY? I'm really on the fence of RST or LTZ with Tech Package solely for the 360 cameras. Thanks!
hey man i know you made this 3 years ago but id love to know if you’re still looking at fitting a heads-up display. I’d really like to know if a HUD is possible! I’ve been looking to no avail.
I do have a harness for it BUT it does require a compatible cluster, programmed for your truck and this feature. You'll need the HUD parts. I found an entire dash on ebay and that's the route I went with as it had the HUD projector, panel for the switch, switch, etc. More info here - harnessdr.com/product/2019-2022-silverado-sierra-hud-retrofit-harness/
Sorry when you bought the cluster, it was already programmed with the mph and the information of your truck and the programs that must be suitable for your truck?
Mileage is not stored in the cluster. It gets displayed onto it. But yes, it gets programmed so that only the options you have on your truck are enabled and things your truck doesn’t come with are disabled.
Question I have a 2019 TB if I upgrade the stereo to a wireless android version that includes factory GPS and upgrade to this cluster will it show the speed limit on the cluster?
Just curious if anyone has attempted to retrofit a 2015 cluster to a 93. The dash lay out is similar mean tach on left, spedo on right and essential gauges across top. Looks similar in size too.
Depending on your configuration, you can gain steering wheel controls with a cluster/wheel swap. Depending on your radio, you might also be able to gain radio controls with a radio/hardware swap/upgrade. harnessdr.com/product/2019-2021-silverado-sierra-steering-wheel-lin-bus-harness/
Yep. You are getting a brand new cluster, with hardware warranty, and programming. There are others selling used hardware, not programming thing right and charging a few $ less… but doing it right the first time is important to me.
@@philgamboa2906 They told me that in the workshop that I found out to do it to my truck, I just want to make sure that it is possible to be able to do it
@@osmelmasot - WAMS (www.WhiteAutoandMedia.com) is who I use for all things programming. They do it right. They supply the new cluster and programming, all plug and play.
@@tgee8216 While the cluster may work (once programmed), there is little information right now on the needs to get the steering wheel controls to work. I am hoping to gather information over the next few months to understand the upgrade/retrofit needs. Stay tuned!
