$46k seems about right for what you get. Love the styling of the Black Edition. Wish the interior was more updated, but it could be something I could live with for 3-4 years while they develop the next gen RL. For $46k you can also get a new Telluride EX nightfall (assuming no markups) or a 2-3 year-old CPO BMW X3 M40i. Pros and cons to each of those 3, but I'm leaning toward a RL black edition.
New is always better then pre-owned unless it’s low miles and within a couple year. The Ridgeline is a great overall value. Congratulations either way 👍🏻
I like it but I don't love it. It looks beautiful from the front angles, but has a very bare or plain body when looking directly from the side. I like the white RTL-E more. This one might look better with after market gloss black window air deflectors and a nice roll-up bed cover.
Fun to drive for a short period of time, not much front leg room will get your knees and legs all stiff after a few hundred miles. I couldn't wait to get out of it and I wasn't even driving. Too small but a decent ride for what it is, a minivan with a bed. No Android Auto is a downer. No full LED lighting (come on Honda, it's a given these days). Horrible battery location under the air intake. So you pretty much have to remove all that to even think about removing the battery or disconnecting it. Buy it for wifey and get a real pickup somewhere else.
The RTL-E and Black Edition has LED and the Ridgeline has Android Auto. Here is the Honda link for the LED: www.hondainfocenter.com/2020/Ridgeline/Feature-Guide/Exterior-Features/LED-Headlights-with-Auto-High-Beam-RTL-E-and-Black-Edition/ Here is the feature link: automobiles.honda.com/ridgeline
$46,300 including destination... and most dealers will knock off a thousand bucks. You can get base Sport for $37k, and a mid level RTL for $40k. Only the luxury RTLE and Black Edition trims are over $45k but they include every option.
