Celerio is nothing like your alto, ignis or xpresso. The car has sedan like features and is very stable on the highway. Its got decent ground clearance for city use. Overall, its a perfect highway/commuter car. Very practical.
Drove the autobox version of this car today. My short verdict Pros: 1) Peppy n refined engine 2) Autobox holds gears till about 5000rpm 3) Cute looks and tight build quality 4) Roomy Cons: 1) Very very laggy n dull steering. 2) Interiors feel cheaper than Santro or Tiago 3) Unsettled in sudden jerks. Car is light. 4) The Autobox lever and holding unit makes cheap sound when the gear lever needs adjustment. 5) Over priced I find only two strong reasons to buy this car : 1) Fuel economy 2) Peppy Engine 3) Looks (Very Subjective)....I find it cute.
I have the older version of this car. To me this looks more like a downgrade in terms of looks and interior. Some gimmicks to compete with current trend got basics compromised. Nevertheless this is a no brainer great car if you don't want to be stranded on the road. Absolutely reliable...until you are in an accident.
Hello, i have purchased the new 2021 model celerio zxi in 2020 december. As i wanted to have a family car the new 2021 celerio fits perfect for my specs. It has large interior space, three can sit freely in second row, better boot space and mileage than the 1st generation celerio which i have used it for 3 years. At present my car has run around 2700 km and i am getting mileage of 27. Overall it is far more advanced than 1st generation celerio. I would suggest this car for family guys like me. Thank you.
Overpriced car with fully cost cutting bits.On the handles, request sensor, power window switch all that shows cost cutting exept price. Tiago and Celerio both are on same price point and Tiago is the best value for money product with saftey, Harman infotainment system, reverse camera, auto Ac,86 bhp 3cylinder engine.
After seeing this video, I can say I'm happy with my current 2015 bought(used 3.25L) Celerio ZXI. Very good value for money car from MS, 2021 model looks downgraded in many aspects. With around 5k, got a rear parking camera, a display and a parking sensor too.
*Punch is much higher priced than Celerio infact Punch is priced similar to Altroz and Baleni and i20 which provides much more value than Punch, u could rather compare punch with Tiago which is similarly priced*
As always, Maruti Suzuki has played safe with their designing... Maruti cars are reliable, practical for years, but now with small cars Maruti needs to come out with better designing...
As expected all TATA fanboys started tarnishing the Celerio but ignoring the fact that it's value for money in the long run keeping in mind the everisng petrol prices
From interior, now it literally look like jigsaw puzzle made from other maruti cars. Overall totally disappointed with this new generation, maruti is going day by day worst.
I would go for a swift vxi instead of this because the previous celerio was way better than this in terms of design as well as the power window controls on the door. This new one just appears a bit weird
I don't why anyone would buy this in 2021 it doesn't have reverse parking camera, adjustable headrest atleast in front, door handles and power windows are orthodox, design reminds me of 90s ambassador cars, safety is also questionable, and engine even though it's very fuel efficient the power figure is very less compared to the rivals which will become even more noticeable once you turn on the AC, it doesn't have automatic climate control as well, all these missing features are available on Tiago even on its own sibling the ignis.
@@varunsrinivas685 I have a 9 year old estilo VXi and I'm glad, after reading the comments, that it doesn't have the returnability problem even a slight bit.
*Ignis is much better product than this with staring price of 5.08 it's very similar to Celerio and have a 4 cylinder engine with better safety (3 star, and yes I know it's not 4 star as Tiago but still) and currently you can get huge discounts on Ignis as it's not that hot selling.*
Test drove the new Celerio Was not expecting such a good car! It looks much better than its pictures & the AMT is peppy & smooth, better than Ignis, Santro, Kwid… Interior as well as boot space is very impressive Seating stance is almost upright & view from driving seat is really good! Wasn’t expecting MS to come up with such an amazing AMT hatchback so bought a Santro AMT just a few days ago!
Excellent car and engine ! but ridiculous pricing :( Those who are considering the top model might as well go for the Swift Zxi (if u value performance and efficiency ) , Altroz or punch (if u value safety) , or grand i10 nios (if u value comfort) All of which are a segment higher ! Ps. to the tata fanboys saying "no safety" 1. u cant get it all under 10 lakhs (u HAVE to sacrifice smthn) 2. the targeted customers of this car are not those who are luxuries enough to trade safety for higher fuel efficiency, all they want is a car that can go from point A to point B as cheap and comfy as possible (which is an upgrade from 4 ppl travelling in 2 scooters)
Totally agree. It's an upgrade for people who are moving away from a scooter or a motorcycle or even an alto! Their running is hardly a few hundred kilometres a month.
MS trying to lure away customers of Punch & Tiago with the only word which can grab an army behind you nowadays.. Fuel efficiency.. But still we've changed a lot Maruti, we need more looks, safety, quality in our assets.
Can anyone tell me why is Maruti making lifeless steerings and ones that don't return to the center? I had the old alto (2005) but its steering returned to the center and what a confident handling it had! Why the lifeless steerings now?? Does it help in getting more mileage??? I doubt there is any connection between the two.
Hatsoff to the reviewer, point out the positive bit nicely and covering every aspect..! #milagecar #kitna_deti_hai Now people will clearly understand which is better value for money car 🚘…! The penny they pay, & the features you get at same price ..!!
One thing everyone need to know that the present new model Celerio is 25kgs lighter than the previous model and the new model is built on Heartect platform not the old model. The reduction in weight which is made in the new car is just not to enhance the mileage but also to meet the upcoming CAFE norms and BS-6 second phase norms
Another best seller from Maruti. Hoping they start focusing on safety as well besides mainly focusing on fuel economy. Just giving extra airbags won't do.
We used to own a Gen 1 celerio and it was a great car but don't really like the new design at all. What is with Suzuki trying to make hatchbacks look like suvs?!
Of late maruti cars are not exciting at all. Their designers are adopting a boring retro looks, no new techs brought in like what other companies are bringing , actually they have become pretty complacent . And people buy these boring cars in big numbers too. So who cares. Look at this front design it looks like taken from the 20 yr old Ford escort ..
Maruti Profit per car is less than Tata. They need to seriously think the coming years and improve both crash safety and also target more premium segments.
The chassis of the new facelift Celerio has been setup in such a way that it has been brought from big daddy S cross......which has been characteristically a gem of Maruti interms of chassis setup....❤❤❤
That steering description is exceptionally accurate.. My uncle had an old alto which ran 2.75L kms so he bought new alto.. light weight, stupid steering its such a downgrade especially when you're in rural India with bad roads, monsoons. (not a maruti fan personally)
It`s very good infact Maruti Suzuki is good. My experience from 2004 to 2013 of Omni and Versa was excellent. Then switched to Mahindra Xylo in 2013. So Maruti and M&M are perfect.
I own Hyundai santro AMT sportz for the past one year. Choose that car becos of 4 cylinder engine (better refinement, less noisy) compared to 3 cylinder on Maruti and smooth AMT gearbox which is shared also for kia cars (electrical actuators) rather than mechanical actuators for Maruti AMT gearbox. Also the steering on Hyundai is very light making it convenient for city driving. Cost cutting is more seen with Celerio and S Presso, no power windows buttons on rear doors, no touch screen audio system, reverse parking camera and so on.
Design could have been still better, but maruti nailed the engine to most refined and efficient. See in india we have cars like this for daily commuting and occasional trips, and avg cruise speeds around 80kmph, and these are build with enough safety features according to indain govt guidelines, and people believe in their responsible driving and surviving on cars like this from decades, these aren't any track machines or high end super cars, now we people madly ask every car 4* 5*. No star can save us in an odd situation but our responsible driving do..
I hope that in my country the products can be under pressure again and can understand consumer tastes and satisfaction. I hope that Suzuki Maruti Suzuki maintains the quality of every electrical engine and is more efficient greetings from Indonesia #suzuki #marutisuzuki
I see many people commenting about what a disaster the flap-type door handles are instead of the pull-type door handles. While I do feel that the whole thing is an eyesore, I am probably in the minority who think that sometimes practicality must come before aesthetics. I drive a 2012 i20, and the elders in my family always struggle with pulling the door handles and I always have to open the doors from the inside. In my personal experience, I feel that flap-type door handles are much more convenient and easy to use.
Any new car from Maruti is just like changing the wrapper of a toffee and eventually it still taste awful. No new technology.. No pleasent interior, still same old black dull dashboard. To be honest, I won't even go for maruti even if someone offer me for free.
Too expensive, and moreover the shape is not as appealing as older generation of celerio,Door handles are an older ones like in alto, but in older generation it was like swift and all other upper end models. Maruti now a days increasing pricing and giving A banana to consuners
Looks are good and I like it, but I dislike cost cutting what Suzuki applied on this car a. No reverse parking camera. b. Window control button position. c. No auto climate control d. Fixed headrest
