Tesla is still better though because it can haul 4 gay guys as opposed to a guy and a girl. That's the most important thing to a Tesla owner after all.
800 HP “To the tires” not 800 crank HP. Plus the Mustang has weight reduction and it’s farrrrr less weight than the plaid which weighs almost 5,000 pounds.
@@MarcoTooFly that’s not a good argument when there’s 4,800 pound trucks Silverados and f150’s making 1000hp and beats cars all the time with 800 plus hp it’s just a ugly boring egg that is worthless and look up the dyno vid the plaid makes 1100awhp
@@executiveinvestmentsthat's what were saying that's super dumb low mileage to have a performance degrade, most cars are literally just broken in atp.
@@executiveinvestmentsWhat are you talking about? The Plaid is an EV, batteries degrade and OTA updates change performance. There's no "break in" on an EV cuz there's no piston rings or cylinder walls to break in and seat.
In a few more years to me it won't matter nohow, but I sure have enjoyed that internal combustion engine, and the cars of today is just plain crazy fast.
Nah the only cars that can compete with EVs are highly modified ice cars pushing it to the limit. Stock vs stock there’s no comparison. Check out the recent car and driver 0-150-0 challenge. Tesla and beat every ice car, including the 992 turbo s by multiple seconds. Without the track package or carbon ceramics. Lucid sapphire did even better.
Can't believe that those electric junkers lose performance after that few of miles! I wouldn't want one when ice is still readily available and is much more engaging to drive, to say the least!
driving a hellcat around for a day and ripping on it cost me about $90 in gas when I rented one.. Plaid gives you all that for almost free.. and still makes a wine sound
@samuelmurphy8692 Hellcat is literally the worst example, along with a GT500 for gaz guzzler! B58 gets about 25 mpg, for example! Incredibly good for that kind of ice power!
Once when you said 800whp I immediately thought LOSS when you mentioned the contender was a plaid (1000hp at the hubs). Then winning the 1st race and holding head2head on the second while rolling the gears, says driver IS the mod. Huge props to the stang.
Great video AG as usual. Keep showing those EV's losing. More and more each day take that stang any day of the week and twice on saturday over any EV out.
Sorry to the haters I love and respect all cars. With this stated THAT is what I call the right way to drive a manual transmission car! Great pull and extremely impressive. Without question the Coyote / Mustang GT's are not only bang for the buck kings they are crazy crazy crazy fast. Folks, like it or not the Tesla Plaids are MONSTERS! Keep all the video's coming!
@@chadmueller9135 Just like how Tesla got millions and millions of taxpayer dollars and incentives we all paid for from the govt. then turns around and builds cars only well off people can afford to own. Deal breaker for me..If somehow it came down to where the only possible choice were between getting a gas powered Kia or an EV/Tesla, then Kia would get my dollars....
EV equals lease only 🤣 , mf based off cell phone tech , the older the battery in the more updates the worst the performance gets 🤦🏽♂️, the ice car always going to have the same performance with routine maintenance 🤷🏾
@@dandylion1987 well when a car is ahead when the race is over that’s considered a win. Funny a max effort engine and tranny swapped with a huge added blower, gutted out tin got handled by 4500lb family grocery getter sedan.
That stang did really well, 😮😮😮 Tesla plaids are no joke, i haven't seen a mustang in my life or on this channel fonking a plaid. Grip Garage has a future with lots of potentials. I mean, can you imagine that stang built from bottom to top...Ken Block would be smiling down on you.
When you grow up in the hood and make it to see you're mid 30's you realize that NOBODY is ever going to race you 160 MPH and even if they do if you get caught you're going straight to jail, you're license is being suspended, you're insurance skyrockets for at least 3 years, you're car gets towed, gets taking to impounded yard for a month, plus have to pay close to $100 a day while its being "stored there" and you can't legally drive until who knows how long. So 0-60 as a family man is really where its at. If they were to do this from a dig the stang would've got GAPPED but in all honesty i HATE both cars but thats just me. I don't like to drive what everyone and their damn granny owns same applies to hellcats too. 60-160 is for the track. Or a back road like this but chances are a random stranger won't meet you on a back road like this to race and to me those are the funniest races but again thats just my opinion. 🤷♂
Tesla wasn't hitting it off the rip for some reason. They snap power much more abruptly than that. Guess he wants the stang to feel good or hes trying to see how it is when he lets it stay fair.
Imagine owning a car with so many handicaps you need special treatment just to be competitive... "Yeah I'll race you, as long as you'll let me get my car to the right speed, in the right gear, at the right RPM, with the right set of tires." 👈🤣
@@wolfgangbarrio5043 I'm not the one throwing thousands of dollars at some old POS And then letting the guy in the Tesla know that the only way I can race is if it's at a certain speed 🤣 Maybe we should prep the highway for you too . 🤣👏👏👏
@@freakattack9616 what's embarrassing is building a car and then putting special conditions on the race, it's pathetic.. My plaid will run low 9 second quarter miles anywhere.
@@freakattack9616 show me another car that runs low 9 second quarter miles all day long, gets 119 mi to the gallon equivalent, and can carry a 70-in TV in the back from Best Buy? 🤔
