You have nailed it on the head! I don’t understand how VW have been allowing the “Lesser” brands to have nicer interiors lately. It’s hard to know why you just wouldn’t head to your Skoda or SEAT dealer instead.

Reviewers insist on driving these with little load. This vehicle would Labour with 95hp and a full load. This is particularly true with your large van reviews.

Although your probably right how many people are actually buying these as the families main form of transport? When I've seen these, and I'm not trying to stereotype here but they seem to be driven by women with maybe one child on board. Cars like these make perfect 2nd vehicles, safe, easy to park and good round town. If you were going to buy one of these and do a lot of motorway miles / have 2 kids etc the 1.5L would be the one to get anyway!

It's less efficient than a supermini due to high ground clearance, and since it's in town, you don't need a high ground clearance for anything. These tiny crossovers literally don't make sense beyond styling. Yes, if you're into this styling and want one, that's great! but you can't really justify one with any practical argument.

Hey Mark and of course Vanarama. I hate to be this person but, I think you got the two trim pics mixed up. Shouldn’t the S have the turn dials and the SE have the climate controls? It’s ok you may have been distracted by a drag race on another channel. I forgive you...Otherwise lovely stuff as always 👍

Mark, were you able to get these mpg results? 48-49 for 1.0 litre? I rarely get this MPG in my diesel :/

Shame the ford Puma looks so bad. Possibly the most ugliest car of 2020/21. It's neither a hatchback or an SUV. Probs why you never see any. Way to go Ford pissing off both sides of your market 👍
