On the bmw Canada builder the ix says it has exterior pedestrian acoustic protection, what does that mean? Does it have an exterior sound when Goin slow like the taycan? Share if you know or can find out thanks!
@@muffy604 Hi, I was looking to buy an IX 40 in Alberta but they said me they won't touch the MRSP on bmw I models. Did you get better luck with your quotes? Just asking out of curiosity :)
@@mortensenvick5711 hey mortensen yes I don't think anyone would give a discount right now, I'm buying the ix40 through a friend and they couldn't even give me a dollar off, I'm paying full Msrp plus freight and bc tax, after my options and all that I'm looking at around 120k cad for the xdrive 40model only, good luck on your purchase!!!
The new BMW IX looks really good in my opinion and especially the backside of the car as it has the cool and premium-looking headlights. The interior is luxurious with some nice trims and premium materials and also spacious too as in the back of the car, there is lots of headroom, legroom and footspace (especially in the middle seat as there is no hump on the floor).I must say the steering wheel looks really good as it is hexagonal in shape which looks cool and I like it.I really like this car and thank you for the video about it 😎😃👍
Very informative! I agree with you that the second BMW dedicated electric model ( first: the i3 ) should have been more a of a sporty, smaller sized car, like the i4. But we’ll have to wait for the next design in 2025+. In the meantime, I’ve ordered an i4.
Thank you for watching, happy you found the video useful! Great choice opting for an i4 and not another crossover or SUV. Did you get the 40 or the M50?
@@OneTireFire I ordered the i4 e Drive 40 M sport with most of the options. San Remo Green with cognac interior. The M50 was more power than I needed. I currently have a 335i x Drive GT.
I'm curious about using features when the car is turned off. What happens if for example you listen to the radio or use massaging seats for 30 min with the engine off? they suggest not to do this with ICE vehicles, do you think is different for an EV like the IX? Btw nice video, i subscribed.
Thanks for watching and subbing! I think it's the 12V battery that EVs still have that is the reason why this might happen. Even though they have a much bigger battery for propulsion, they still use the 12V to run many auxiliary systems, including audio/infotainment. You can deplete that battery if you run these systems for too long without the the vehicle running, and I assume it's the same for EVs. I'll have to do more research on this to give you a better answer, though...
@@andrewm9669 I think you're right. Looks like it has one of those panoramic glass panels that you can turn opaque at the touch of a button. Thanks for your comment!
