For those people insisting that this is the 2020 model. This is the 2020 model in mainland China and other countries with same release date as mainland.. Similar to what other car companies do in the past, they release the models in other countries first as the 2010 Mazda something, then will be released here in the Philippines as 2012 Mazda something else. This is an EV we are talking about, companies producing EV are just testing the waters here in the Philippines for now to see if there is a potential market in the future and the best strategy is to offer the most affordable they have for the model and not the more expensive latest model. Same thing that Kia did with their Pride in the 90's and they are not well known yet. They only have the Pride as their first model which was a late model in their home market Korea before they started to introduce their newer and current models one by one.
The reason why we don't have more ev's here in our country is the price point 😢😢 I have a wigo and vios but even combine their price still cannot afford even the entry level of EV
@@KyleLiongCars Hoping you get a tang or seal for long enough so I can watch your test drives. The Tang and the Seal are the two I would be most interested in.
Any chance you can race this vs a Tesla? I really wanna see the top of the line Han EV race a Model 3. That and maybe a track contest. I love seeing competition and how they compare to the current “king”
Rule of thumb is it's no match of the Model 3 Performance in speed and handling, as it's a much larger, heavier car with BYD's signature (albeit Toyota-ish) soft ride. Comfort and space wise it eats Tesla for lunch.
Nice looking car but poor charging perimeters ~ DC 50Kw charger takes 50 mins vs average of 30~35 mins. Maybe because it is so big. Love your vid - well done 👍 👍 👍
@@qilu2004 The recently announced Ioniq 5, based on the new and dedicated E-GMP EV platform, will have an 800 V architecture that can be charged at 232 kW. This will be capable of charging the battery from 10% to 80% (over 200 miles of range) in 18 minutes. Find a 180KW charger station ~ juice up in 20mins. Is d BYD HAN the same specs???
@@angxiang3186 for most people, they only need to charge enough to get home, because it is cheapest to charge at home. Han can get 150km with 10min charging. that ought be enough to get home. does it matter if it takes 10 minutes or 7 minutes? han is so much better than ioniq in every other way. they aren't even in the same class.
@@angxiang3186 btw, xpeng's latest xpower 3.0 flatform is based on 800v and capable of 480kw fast charging. sounds great. do I care? no. the abundance of chargers solve the speed anxiety and the range anxiety. at the end of the day, 95% of the charging, if not more, is done at home.
5:16 Can't it be translated into English? Doesn't it have the option? Is the problem also in the infotainment system? What is the solution to it? Does it have a global variant?
Funny how some mention Tesla in the comments. Then why watch? Then go buy a Tesla. Not all wanna race to death with autopilot. In the end of the day, most "commoners"like us want a good value car like Prius or alternative of it.
@@KyleLiongCars In China, whether it is 2020 (2022 in your country) or 2022 BYD Han, the logo on the steering wheel is all Chinese characters Han (汉). This may be because the trademark Han has not been applied for in your country, so you can only use the old BYD. logo.
Haha thanks Kyle! I thought they were in the same class since they are both 7 seaters. Been thinking which one should I buy for myself. My 1st choice is Okavango but I just found out recently about the Veloz V and I was also amazed on its price and safety features.
@@alidimatunday7662 Price wise and size wise, they're in completely different leagues haha! The Okavango is way bigger. Avanza/Veloz might be a 7 seater, but it's a lot tighter
With everything inside done rather tastefully, you'd think they'd put their logo foremost in a subdued and classy way but nope, sticks out like a cheap badge from P25,000 chinese e-bikes. Not really something that instills pride while you drive a P4M car and you see it front and center. The hokey "Build your Dreams" can be removed and sanded though, after you donate it to some random jeepney.
That's not the point though. Can that 1.6M car accelerate as fast as this, and give 0 noise? Does it have a premium interior with a really cool rotating screen? Nope.
The facelifted version released for 2022 in China already has the Han logo for the steering wheel and an updated interior. Sadly, we don't get that here yey
Did the batteries come from a country that uses child labor. Children as young as six are dying so can think you are helping the environment. They work for one or two dollars a day. Support companies that support their workers.
