2022 Driving Test UK What Happens On The Day? 

As of 1st March masks are no longer required on the driving test. Tests will also not be terminated if a serious fault is committed, finally a person can now once again accompany you during the driving test. 🚦🚘😁

I passed my test last week, although I passed the feedback from the examiner was really helpful as she picked some things up that I didn't, my instructor never had a first time pass at that specific test center, the examiners had a bad reputation and I had an ambulance go by me on the test, but just goes to show that although the odds might be stacked against you, you can still pass, thank you for these instructional videos, nothing compares to driving with an instructor but watching other people practice it just cements it in your brain, such a valuable resource the internet these days. :-)

My instructur was super happy with my driving but warned my reverse parallel parking was erratic. When I took the test I indicated I had used up all my savings and simply could not afford more lessons. I was super nervous and was given the tough exam - maximum duration and all tough challenges. I followed exactly the advice given by my instructor and for the first time managed to park perfectly ever. It was on a hill and the road was bent. I think my instructor was happier than me. Previously he told me I will never pass until I manage to learn to reverse park properly. It was perfect and ever since I love to reverse park. Dont ever give up.

I have my car test in less than two days on the 18th January I am pretty confident I will pass but still a little shaky... But i found your video very help full and I will take your video in my head on my last lesson tomorrow and before the test

Hi Josh, My driving test was at Norris green test center in Liverpool in February. I am very disappointed and demotivated by the conduct and instructions given by the instructor. He told me " follow the sat nav until I direct you to do something or a traffic sign tell you" . I started my test with good confidence, was driving good. It was sunny day morning around 8 AM when my test started. The sat nav brightness was not enough. Then the sat nav said turn left and it was a slip road connecting to main road with speed limit of 40. I was turning left just before the slip road and driver instructed me with hand signal to continue and take slip road. Then Instructor told me to turn the dipped headlights whereas my car had automatic headlights which he could see. Still he tried to confuse me and later explained that you can turn it off and turn on. Then I continued driving and and one moment it was a man with walking sticks approaching the road and my attention was on him and sat nav was saying turn right but due to my attention on man I was going straight in perfect lane perfect speed but instructor interrupted me Driving with a hand signal on last minute and asked me to go right. I suddenly reduced speed, gave signal and make the turn, as I turned I explained instructor that my attention was in that vulnerable man. He questioned me back " if that man was coming will you not follow sat nav" and just after the end of Street after taking right turn, the sat nav starting saying end of route and instructor didn't explained me what to do when sat nav says end of route and he also kept quiet which confused me. Also his last minute turning and then questioning me spoiled my mood. When sat nav said end of route I could see the no entry ahead and a left turn but he kept quiet, no instructions given and I continued a metre straight and he pulled my brake and told me that you tried to enter 'no entry' . The instructor was very wrong in asking me to turn right at last moment as you also said it's not a mistake if you don't go by the route but my instructor tried to force me on his route. And when he asked me to take turn, there was a car just behind me that had to brake and pass over me from my left side but he didn't count it as major which it was actually because he asked me to turn last minute. I am very depressed and demotivated by such conduct of a DVSA instructor. Also at the end despite my request he didn't explained my faults fully, just told me sorry you made a major and failed.

A passed ma driving test a week before covid took affect in March 2020 ma lesson before hand was a disaster and it would a been easy for me to crumble but ma instructor said listen the way to look at this is that’s all your mistakes out the way

Second test today would’ve passed first time but got a major right at the end. Now I’m nervous but I’m ready just gotta get on with it.

April 29th. As of February 28th, I've had an email to say that masks are no longer required and that your instructor can once again sit with you during your test.
