Even though it didn't get more peak tq, it looks like it got a good bump at 5.5k rpm

Shouldn’t be too hard to find one now I think most everyone who wanted one has taken delivery.

The loss of torque can be from removing the resonator that’s connected to the intake pipe. The HKS intake pipe lets you reconnect the stock resonator for this reason. Great results and I’m going to get the HKS air filter for my BRZ.

Given that this is a mustang dyno using SAE correction factors, I believe this is an accurate reading man. All other videos were using STD correction. So stock the car has 240hp and after mods nearly 250hp. This is awesome!
@DaniiVision
@DaniiVision Год назад
That’s a good point I didn’t see what the others were using as the correction factor. It is definitely under rated power wise.

full intake full exhuast e85 flex fuel kit and a tuned i think 240 whp is possible that 280hp to the crank for small compact na sports car that just percect level of performance.

Not bad. My 2016 FRS with an intake, full exhaust (uel header, overpipe, high flow catted front pipe and cat-back exhaust) and OFT Stage 2 tune made 179whp, 147tq on a mustang Dyno too.

The new 2.4L really is a step up from the 2.0L. Really enjoy driving this car and look forward to being able to tune it.

It’s weird how the car took itself out of track mode. I’ve hit 120 in track mode and doesn’t return to normal mode at all.
@DaniiVision
@DaniiVision Год назад
I think it was due to the front tires not rolling.

@@DaniiVisionit’s because you guys weren’t in track mode. You held the button that put traction and stability control off which is different for track (only turns off traction).

I'm not hating but the graph display style with disparate curves is not easy to read at first glance. This method removes the 5252 rpm crossover making the graph look fake. Seeing the different Y axis readouts explains the weird graph shape but personally I would use the standardized method for displays in the future. Other than that thanks for the content!

Thanks for the feedback Jacob, I will take this into consideration for future dyno days.

Never dyno with the hood open it adds horsepower that's not actually there when you're driving. Unless you drive without your hood
@DaniiVision
@DaniiVision Год назад
Considering that the airbox is sealed and not open air element filter like a short ram intake for example, I don’t see how having the hood open or closed would make a difference. Thanks for watching.
@MrofficialC
@MrofficialC Год назад
@@DaniiVision even if it is a closed air box it could still affect the power ratings because the heat would still be somewhat transferred to the air through the plastic from the engine.

Yea its been proven by the guys at Flyin'miata(HUGE competetive racing background) and a few others that the hood should never be open when you dyno your car unless you want to inflate numbers that wont translate to the street or track. The airflow is different, the radiator fan blows air in different areas cooling different spots, the heat from the engine soaks different areas(intake manifold and intake piping) the engine oil will be a different temperature under load. All small details that translate to one big difference in what is read. But what do I know, I never operated one of those machines. I just trust the miata racing teams because those guys are the largest most data-driven guys in the car world.
