Spoiler: Real speed is 220 km/h for Honda and 205 km/h for Triumph.

i´m a cb650r rider and i can confirm the honda´s speedometer is wrong. for speed comparsion both bikes should use gps-speeds. afaik if the cb650r´s speedometer shows 240 it´s actually 220 kph. Anyway, both are great bikes and i love to ride my cb as a daily and on racetracks - pure fun (acceleration up to 200kph is awesome - 0-100 kph in 3.5 seconds (gps), 3rd and 4th gear 'wide-open' easily beats 400hp cars in acceleration, pretty close to cbr600rr acceleration. the cbr600rr does accelerate faster at top-end, but not that much, also the 600 revs higher than the 650)

my cb300r with the original sprocket was exactly 10% off at any given speed, then i put a +1 in the front and now it's only 2.5% off, also gears are no longer as ridicolous shorts as before

A Stock CB650 doesn't go that speed. 240 km/h requires 120hp or so. It' may be remapped, or it's an incredibly downhill.

also tacho error still its faster than trident 660 👌🏻 cb 650 105 = 100 215 = 200 100-200 in around 12 sec vs trident in around 15 sec -16 sec yea rdident have more torq is lighter but power is true force 😎

Honda speedometer is not accurate. I have a friend with that CB650R and I have a street triple RS. I passed him at 220km/h and he told me he was at 230 on the speedometer ^^

Some bikes have very optimistic speedometers. It’s mostly the the older bikes (600cc sportbikes are notorious for this), but some of the newer bikes are still bad at this. I’ve seen videos of CB650s going 240 kph on the clock, but a naked bike with 95 hp probably has a real top speed of 215-220 kph.

Surely the cb is faster than the trident because the difference of the horse power and the number of cylinders, so both speedometer are "optimistic"

Optimistic speedo. Common on older Japanese bikes (especially 600cc sportsbikes). Some new bikes are still pretty bad at this: like the CB(R)650R.

@No_Name I know, it’s dictated by law in many places. What I’m saying is that some are worse than others and motorcycles are overall the worst offenders. Especially older 600cc sportbikes are notorious for this. Most of the new stuff are much more accurate, but there are still new bikes that are way off.
