2022 Honda HR-V LX Review

By far the best car video review I have seen. The comparison is great, although I would recommend listing the car brand (ie; Toyota) along with the model number when going thru the comparison.

Awesome review

I drove a 2022 Honda HR-V hybrid for my road trip from San Francisco to Yellowstone National Park. I drove over 2100 miles and I average 32MPG for my trip. What I like: camping mode works like wonder when I sleep in it in camping ground when temperature was around 30 degree. It was comfortable to sleep inside while the engine is keeping the temperature around 75 degree. Well equipment with technology: lane centering, blind spot monitor, power seat for both driver and passenger seats, moon roof, Adaptive Cruise Control. What I don’t like: 32MPG is low for a hybrid vehicle. Lane centering is not reliable. Seat is very uncomfortable. It is the worst seat I have tried ever.

Great review! I have a 2020 EX trim and I love this car. There's only one thing i envy about this 2022 LX - that CD player 😄 I have so many CDs I'd love to listen to.

Hello Mr. Fuller, love the review and I needed it. I come from the Honda Fits 2010, 2015 & 2018. I used a USB with my favorite music on it in all 3 Fits. For some reason, not all folders will show up in the HR-V. Can you do an in dept review about using the USB for music?

Mine is coming in next week. I'm excited for the cd player!

Number comparisons were beneficial. Thanks. I like the upbeat, humorous vibe. I wish there was a way to measure useable cargo space. The reason why is because the Kia Soul has similar cargo numbers with the seats up. But in reality, it doesn't hold as much because the space is shallow and tall. Space is great with the seats down, though.

Never looked at car vids before today. Felt Honda's website wasn't giving me a really good look into the interior of the HR-V. Yours was the 2nd vid I looked at and felt it gave me way more info than both Honda's website and the first vid I watched. I'm particularly looking at the LX model because I don't want all the auto sensing stuff. I learned to drive on a janky '90 Accord, I adore Hondas, but I can not stand all the automated stuff. The rear-view camera is distracting to me and I feel all the other sensing stuff will just make me a weaker driver over all. I'd rather lose all those features and rely on my own skill to keep my senses sharper. So for me, I'm super happy the LX doesn't have the Honda Sense stuff. Thanks for the great review! (also, was that Howdy Honda behind you? lol)

I bought one HR-V LX 2021 3 weeks ago and it is a good deal. Doing home visits as a nurse I put over 45,000 miles a year, lets see how it holds up. Traded in a 2018 Civic with 120000+ miles.

i have a 2018 a ton of cargo space, great in the snow, drives like a car functions like suv, 29 city 35 highway, i love it, interior classic rich style look economy price

Great review, but info here is it is based on the Civic platform, and the older model was based on the Fit platform.

I wish you had covered how the interior lights work, such as the map lights. Are they susposed to come on when the door is opened, etc.

Nice review, but I missed some of it because of how fast you talk. Slowing it down by about 25% would help a lot. Also, would like to see more of the under hood components for those of us who do our own maintenance, such as the location of the oil filter. Thanks.

You should've shown yourself opening the back door so we can see how easy/difficult it is to do so, demonstrate the keys & functions (i.e. keyless entry, push to start, etc.) & do more of a test drive (w/ external camera footage). Other than that, this was a very thorough review. 👍

Does the power seat have an electrical adjusting system? Like the buttons that move you back and forth? Not having that has always been a deal breaker for me and it's so scarce in lower trims for almost all makers these days!!!

What about the audio system? How many speakers?

Just purchased this exact vehicle. This probably saved me a couple hours of reading the manual. Interesting things I learned: the brake hold feature, multiple view options on backup camera, how the magic seats fold up for extra floor to ceiling space behind the front seats, and the overall comparison with other close competitors, which saved me a lot of time researching. Just bought this car a week ago. Good review but yes, you talk way too fast. I had to keep reminding the video to understand. One question...I've never had a backup camera. If I get too close to something, does the car warn me ?

HRV is basically the FIT but more expensive and unless you spend more you dont get as much as what the basic FIT had,
