Just picked up a 2021 Elantra SEL w/ Convenience package. New Hyundai cars are no joke. I feel like I'm driving a luxury car with all the technologies and features it offers. It also gets great fuel economy. What more can you ask for a daily commuter. Well done Hyundai.
When you say picked up, did you choose a lease? Or conventional financing? Or does pick-up just mean you casually write a check or handover cash or give them a draft from your bank? Americans use terms I don’t know well
Have you ever driven a luxury car before? This doesn't even compare to the Mercedes CLA in terms of features & tech. It's like a Mercedes without all the fancy features for half the price

Soooo weird, my fiancé is literally buying one as I type is comment, I came onto RU-vid and saw this video at the top. He bought the SEL trim in blue. Beautiful car, he loves it, so do I.
Bought a 2023 Elantra Hybrid a few months ago, and have been totally blown away by the vehicle. Electric motor gives crisp starts off the line, 6 speed dual clutch tranny racks through the gears with crisp precision, and the rear independent suspension (only on the Hybrid and the N) gives spectacular handling. Add in the spectacular electronics and the 50+ MPG, and you're looking at one of the best vehicles on the market.
@@Jakeminecraft1 highest trim in USa out the door is 32k-35k USD if you add all other fees like registration and dealer add on. The MSRP is just a number.
I’ve had a few Hyundai’s! All have been smooth and trouble free! Fun and easy on gas! As good or better than anything else out there right now except Mazda is a little more fun to drive maybe. I have a new Mazda CX-5 GT- barely edged out the Hyundai Tucson.
I had a Mazda but just got a 22 Tuscan hybrid. Mazda’s are fun but will need a lot of fixing down the road. I ended up replacing nearly everything on my 09 Cx7 grand touring.
@@portillo6040 hmmm maybe so. I hate to hear that. Of course I’ve never had a Mazda that long so I guess a lot of things would need replacing on a 12-13 year old model. I’d say you get your money’s worth out of your cars. But won’t you have to put money in a Hyundai down the road too? I mean you get their 10-year warranty which is nice but you had your Mazda over 10 years right? Then you are out on your own and most if not every modern car has a 10 year planned obsolescence. To be fair I’ve only had my Mazda’s (5) less than 20 years. So I have had a different experience. I’ve had excellent luck with them but never put more than 160,000 miles and that was actually my parents giving them to me used with about 80-90k miles on them for under $5000.00 and then me driving the crap out of them through my teen years and then college. Mine were always really tough. They’ve been driving them since 1989, new purchases, then passed them down for a low price to me and my siblings with less than 100k miles then they’d replace them with more Mazda’s. I had a CX-7 like you did. A Grand Touring but mine was their 07’ model. I loved that thing when it was new. But it was a bad color. They could have picked a black one which I liked but they chose a copper/red color that has light tan interior. I have pictures of it. It had the sunroof and Bose Center Point Surround system like yours had. Power leather seats and such. I had their old 626 and then a couple 3’s, an old Protégé, and a couple 6’s. They even had 929’s and an MPV before I was born. I’m 30. My parents are old, like 74. Sorry for the story. Your reply kind of started me down memory lane. Congrats on your 22 Tucson. They are nice. I drove a Tucson & a Sonata and would be happy with either. I like the hybrid like yours better. My friends have Hyundai Genesis before Genesis was split off to the luxury market. I think you will have a good experience with it and I don’t think you’ll have any issues with it for many years. Now after the 10 year mark who knows. Do you take really good care of maintenance with your vehicles?
You can get the LED tail lights with a convenience feature on the SEL and it is standard on the N line, N and limited, it’s not just standard on the limited.
I like it but I just fear so much with the reliability of Hyundai / Kai ... But the front end is what really attracted me to this car .. The whole front end speaks sophistication ..
Oh wow let me tell you I left Volkswagen and went to Hyundai hesitantly in 2011 and I have never looked back or had a problem. Service departments provide new service loaner cars if I call ahead to schedule maintenance and they keep my car overnight to wait for a part. I’ve had amazing things happen with my Hyundai cars. I’ve converted a couple friends to them and now they drive Genesis because they have more scratch than I do. Tino I’m a car guy and they are just as good as Honda and Toyota IMO and you get their commitment to quality by receiving that killer 10 year warranty ! Get one and let me know how it goes.

Is it safe to purchase Certified 2022 hyundai elantra sel with 53000 miles for $21500 out the door price? It's well equipped well maintained clean title one owner car.
The packaging features of trims you're mentioning is not correct. You can get leather wrapped steering and Digital gauge cluster on the SEL Convenience package. The SEL Premium gives you the same features as the Limited, minus the 10.25 inch infotainment, LED headlights (get LED Taillights on the SEL Premium), leather seats, and ambient lighting. This is just the regular SEL trim. Which doesn't have smart cruise control option. Have to go SEL Convenience to get that. Which I think the SEL Convenience and Premium package will be a popular trim level to buy. Must be very specific and detailed when it comes to trim levels. Someone who is not a car person will assume otherwise based on what you're telling them. And I can't believe you forgot to mentioned the "smart trunk " feature. That's 4 ways to open the trunk.

@@gchiarirocks I had to order too. I have an Elantra now and I love it. I just do a lot of driving and I have 140k on mine now. I hope it's a black grill and rims. If not, I'm sure I'll survive..lol
That’s what I want to know, i want to Kano if there is any changes from the last year, I hope Hyundai finally puts wireless apple CarPlay and Android auto on the bigger 10.25 inch screen.
Literally nothing lol just a very very slight change in the design of the exterior but not very noticeable but features and design is the exact same but hopefully they just made the engine even better or something
The driver seat in My 2018 Elantra sunk and became uncomfortable from about 30k I am 6ft 178lb other than that, trouble free it has been. I am considering Civic or Jetta for next vehicle need
If I’m not mistaken i just purchased a 2022 Sel on Saturday and it didn’t have heated seats. I’m going in on Monday to pick it up and I’ll let you know !
In person the new Elantra is very polarizing, it has strange angles and creases with a very bizarre styled front end. It suffers from the weirdness of its bigger brother the Sonata. Its no Mazda 3 for sure.
Bit disaponited the 2022 model didn't bring down some of the features that were only at the very top, compared to competitors like the Corolla and Civic that have them standard. Such as the highway driving assist and cruise control, and it doesn't look as high tech as the exterior without the digital gauges that are only available in the top Ultimate + tech package, which is another 7K more than the Preferred together. With few changes this model year, those features should have been pulled down to the Preferred at least. At least that's the case here in Canada. I'm not really seeing the best value thing, or the Toyota tax for that matter if I match up the features I want, the Corolla is cheaper.
It seems better if you opt for the hybrid variants. For me personally between the top hybrid trims the blander look and noisier CVT makes the Corolla less appealing than the Elantra

Standard is the default driving mode. Sport tightens up the steering wheel and makes the engine/transmission more responsive. Smart I think will keep the car in normal/eco mode and automatically switch to sport mode engine/transmission if the car feels like you need the extra power in the moment.
Hyundai has to screw up at least one thing in such a great car. The ugly looking cone shaped funnel around speedometer and tiny digits. Totally destroys viewing experience. For last 100 years cars are manufactured and all have FLAT dashboard with speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge and engine temperature gauge. Limited version of Elantra does not have cone/funnel put around speedometer than why put in Blue or other version of Elantra ? Hyundai should fire design approval engineer who allowed cone around speedometer.
