If anyone is having trouble removing the cover, it works a bit like a toilet roll holder. Grab one end of the bar and pull it back towards the opposite end. It's spring loaded, so essentially the bar shortens an inch when you pull it back so you can slide or remove it. Also, in my vehicle, there isn't room for sub-floor storage. The spare tire is in the way. (Australian 1.6T Tucson Highlander 2023).

Thank you. I loved it when you said don't worry they won't break. I was afraid of lifting up too hard and breaking them so you eased my mind. I felt those little shelves must have to come up in order to put the rod underneath. The guy showed me very quickly when I got my new car but it was so fast I couldn't remember how to do it. I figured out why I couldn’t remove the cargo cover bar. I didn’t have the strength to simply pull back on it. My grandson had no trouble. Maybe if you get inside the back seat and pull with your upper arms, it might work.

Glad I watched your video. Funny thing happened to my Wife & myself. The rear suspension was so badly rotted, it let loose 3 weeks ago which made the vehicle irreparable. Knowing the vehicle like we did, one week later I was able to find the exact year and model, Plus the vehicle came with the exact Interior Color. Actually, the following is the funny part of my story... Okay, so we sold our first Tucson to a Vehicle Salvage Company here locally for $600, and just so happened, we forgot about putting the Cargo Cover back inside the Tucson, prior to the Tow Truck Driver arriving to pickup the vehicle. With all this said, I decided that it would be a wise idea to install the Cargo Cover into the replacement Tucson that we just purchased...

Does the trunk light turns on, on every model? Ive seen running and with middle/trunk lightbar ON. But im not sure if mine its damage; Or its the model that has signal lights on mirror… because when i turn lights switch ON, trunk one does nothing.

Is that all you do to remove the screen is to pull it toward you? It didnt work for me, it just moved the bar closer to the back. Do you have to yank hard to remove it?
