The very best review I have read about Jazz especially for someone who couldn't decide between elegance and executive, with the information a normal driver wanted. Keep doing it please. Thanks 🙏
That was the most informative video i have watched on the new jazz you covered the features i will be test driving the jazz shortly thank you for the great video wish they were all straight talking like your video
Wow fantastic run down of both cars so nice job! For some reason they dont seem to make a lot of these models in the US but they are obviously super popular everywhere else and have some of the best gas mileage for a hybrid. I just bought an accord hybrid but I feel like if this car was around the US I would have gotten it. In general Honda has a great approach to making cars.
Really great review Brian. I once tried a Toyota Yaris hybrid about 8 years ago. So disappointed with the CVT so ended up buying an i20 with traditional auto box. The Jazz seems so much better with its gear arrangement. Also the extra room and accessibility compared to my current Mazda 3 auto for elderly relatives. I think other reviewers should be doing the side by side access and legroom tests, especially the head pat headroom check!
Hi Brian, That was a very helpful review. I am in Aberdeen and have, on the strength of your review, bought the EX model this morning with red paint and the dark cloth! Delivery is week beginning the 20th April. Sadly, restrictions meant no test drive, so a leap of faith has been exercised! :-) I had heard a lot of bad reviews about the infotainment system, but it looks okay. Here's to many miles of happy driving!
Hi Howard, thank you very much for watching, I think you will like the drive .. and you’ve gone for the best colour !! Thanks for the nice comment , enjoy the new motor ! Also this video might be useful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iE_xSHwGinY.html
@@doolanbrian Well Brian, I picked my new Jazz XE up in late April and have been driving it for 2 months now... What can I say? It's all that you said it would be and more. It fits my lifestyle perfectly and is a relaxing drive with plenty of tech to assist me. It's no sports car, but is nippy enough at low speeds and for overtaking. I am easily getting over 70 miles to the gallon (without trying) and the comfort inside is just great! Plenty of space and my disabled son (over 6 foot tall) who sits in the rear loves it to! Yes, the boot isn't huge, but it is plenty big enough for two suitcases which is all we need. The flexibility of the seats is amazing. I have told others about it and all are surprised at the space in the cabin, My only major 'flaw' (if you can call it that?) is that everything dies when you stop the engine. If I wanted to listen to the radio when I park up and admire the scenery or wanted to plan my next journey or call someone on the phone, I have to keep the engine running? Not great, but I guess they are thinking of saving battery power? It is a niggle, but otherwise I have not found anything to stop me loving this car! I highly recommend that you get one! Thanks Brian for an excellent review.
@@HowardDrysdale thanks for the detailed response !!! Sounds like it going well !! Ok i reckon that the modern car batteries are under so much more pressure with the amount of features that need power that the car will default to turning off these features where possible to conserve the lifespan of the battery i guess !does that makes sense ??? Thanks for the feedback !!
@@doolanbrian Yes, you are probably correct Brian. It is a minor issue, but they could have given you the option? Still love the car and have recommended it to many... (Sorry Brian, I don't have any friends in your neck of the woods so you'll probably not get many orders from Aberdeen!) I reckon Honda should be paying you for such a good review! :-) Thanks for helping me get a great car!
My wife just bought a new Honda Jazz hybrid 2021......absolutely perfect for the roads of Rome. I am seriously thinking about selling my vw golf 7 to buy a Honda Jazz cross star!!!!!
Thanks again for great video. Could you please explain in detail the regenerative braking? How strong is it and can it bring car to full stop? Are braking lights on while car is braking on its own?
Ok thanks for watching !! 🙂 So like regenerative braking in most cars with batteries , it attempts to recover energy while also slowing down the vehicle .. it converts its kinetic energy into a form that can be either used immediately or stored until needed..in the Jazz it is reasonably mild in the engine braking ‘b’ mode .. none of the honda hybrids in Europe can stop the car like you would see in a full EV and as a result I don’t think 💭 that the brake lights are ever engaged due to its mild nature .. does that make sense ??
Hello Brian, could you tell what’s the rpm at 130 km/h please ? I am a bit sceptical about the engine noise on motorways ! I saw on other reviews that this car did loose its charm at high speed and was more adapted for city or suburban use. Thanks for your reply. Jean michel from France. Please for next reviewing, could you speak slower, difficult to follow sometimes for a foreign ear!
Hey Jean Michal, sorry i spoke too fast ! Ok so the Jazz does not have a revolution counter so i cant tell what the RPM is at motorway speeds ! Sorry i cant help better !!
Hi there .. the car was launched in 2020 .. the 2021 will be the same vehicle as the 2020 version in Ireland so I reckon your 71 plate will be the same in UK 🇬🇧🙂
I'm a Honda jazz lover, and own petrol ex 20reg, and it's brilliant..but these new things are grossly overpriced, and fugly...bring the prices down to a realistic price, change the stupid Noddy face of the car, change the plastic wheel trims, change the child's dash display, and I'll buy again..simples
Such a good model, much better than Honda Fit and Honda Life in China, they are cousin of Honda Jazz in China, because Chinese version decrease many things like parking sensor, LED lamp, electronic hand brake, and only cross star level have display( for Honda Fit), the only advantage of Chinese version compared with british version is cheap, its price is from £9000 to £12000 in China, and we only have pure gasoline version in China
@@doolanbrian The most important is the two cheapest model Honda Fit in China even do not have side air curtain, and all models in China are adopts the front disc brake rear drum brake design,
@@doolanbrian Only Honda, there are many models like Honda Breeze(CRV's brother), but we also have CRV, Honda Accord(already stop to sell in European), Honda URV, Honda Avancier, Honda Vezel(Honda HRV in European), Honda XRV(Brother of Honda Vezel), Honda City and Honda credier, for Volkswagen, there are Volkswagen Lavida, Volkswagen Sagitar
