Big beast of a SUV. Great video showing all the bells and whistles. Wondering in the current financial climate just how many of these cars are going to be sold. Every new car just seems to get bigger and bigger. Compare this to 20 years ago and our roads and parking spaces have stayed the same size

These latest SUVs are massive ... I parked next to a Tucson the other day and just thought wow that's huge!! I'm surprised you dont need a hgv licence to drive them 😂🤣

I looked at one of these. Absolutely beautiful car. Only negatives I have is boot space is a little underwhelming for something so big and interior and exterior feels a bit chrome heavy Americanised. That was literally all I had as a negative. Ended up getting a Skoda Kodiaq instead as the boot space was better, even though third row is more cramped (kids don’t mind) and though it’s a bit smaller overall it was low cost enough to feel ok about that. Smart buy now, if I’d waited would be the Dacia Jogger I reckon.

Great car but most essential thing for a 7 seater imo is having 3 individual seats next to each other so you can fit 3 child seats.

Great review, what would you choose a top spec Sorrento 4 or a top spec highlander? There is only 2k in the price between the top specs of both cars.

It’s a tough question but I’d personally go for the Sorento just based on the infotainment system alone - I think. The 3rd row is better in the Sorento, in fact it’s the best I’ve seen in an SUV. Highlander is a very capable car though.

Must be my taste in cars, all the cars I love are sooooo expensive. Got the now extinct Grand C Max still would consider a 7 seater. kodiaq, 5008, Terracco, Santa Fe and this all hit the mark.

If you need this type of vehicle, then this would be a better way to go than a new Range Rover. Although you might not think so until it was 3 or 4 years old. By which time the RR would have gone wrong a couple of times....and cost nightmare inducing amounts to fix. Anyone who somehow thinks Kia and Hyundai are some sort of second rate "make do" cars, needs to take a closer look. Kia were Britain's best selling car brand earlier this year.....

As Jim said badge snobbery will come into a lot of buyers minds on this size of vehicle. I have a family with a RR SVR and a RR Hybrid along with a Merc C43 and they wouldn't even consider this brand.

@@cabottaxi Mmm, so many folks fall into the trap of being hung up on what others might think......Badge snobbery is still a "thing" for some. Speaking purely personally, I wouldn't touch anything made by Land Rover. Their reliability and longer term viability is abysmal. Once they reach 5 to 6 years old, they then seem to fall into the realm of the DIY tinkerer, because they become too costly to repair otherwise. Old saying. "If you want to drive across the desert, take a Land Rover" - "but if you plan on returning, take a Land Cruiser"........ Admittedly, the Kia isn't a Totota Land Cruiser, but Kia have also built a tremendous reputation for reliability these days, and few manufacturers dare match their 7 year warranty.....
