Ya Lexus likes to make stupid little mistakes like that. Every year it’s something small and stupid. Makes you say, “wtf Lexus what we’re you thinking we’re you high?”
@@justinnegron4843First off, "extremely expensive" is a relative term. Going with LED turn signals wouldn't affect the price much. Also you have to remember that the cheapest version of the IS is $39k. This isn't an IS500 issue, it's an IS issue.
i find it strange they decided to go incandescent on the rear turn signals rather than just full led across the whole vehicle. Overall though, it's one of my favorite cars to have recently come to the market.
Idk why manufacturers still do this you pay 90kAUD for a car that still has incandescent... and i hate the led signals at the front but non led at the back its just dumb
It's a shame Australia doesn't get the IS 500. The IS F prices have gone up nearly 50% the last 18 months as well as the RC F and GS F. Keep this car as it will maintain its value forever!
lexus was recently told to stop production of the lexus IS, RC and GS in australia since crash safety tests werent up to standard and lexus wasnt bothered fixing the issue, thats probably the reason why the is prices have shot up so much
Small sedan for sure. BMW is not done with V8 sedans though they pledged to keep making them until 2028 I believe, in the form of V8 turbo + hybrid in the upcoming M5
lexus said this is their last varient of the 5.0 V8, they're moving on to putting that 3.5 turbo in the tundra/LS500 into their cars that suppose to have the v8 variants
Yeah I used to cold start a straight piped cammed and the rest zx10r in the early hours, I never needed to drink coffee in my life... 200kmh+ every day rollercoaster to work lol
Your wallet will thank you and you'll enjoy being able to drive it all the time :) Plus cops don't ever look at you because you are now Catherine/Bob from accounting. Most of them have no idea it's even got a v8
yeah man welcome to the club. you'll stay even longer when you find out they might not be the absolute fastest, but not far off, AND they are MUCH more reliable than the bmw/mercs/etc that you compare them to. They're better built really if you want to get down to the black and white. Best part.. most of the parts are toyota prices.
I went to Ray Catena Lexus in Edison Jersey and they were asking $25k above the MSRP for this same car. So the total price of the vehicle was $95k. Totally not worth it!
I'm sure it's not out yet, but definitely get the Invidia Q300 catback exhaust. I have it on my RC-F and it's the perfect balance between a fiery v8 and the comfort/luxury of a Lexus.
Same V8 engine to all these models 2007-2014 Lexus IS F (USE20) 2015-present Lexus RC F (USC10) 2015-2020 Lexus GS F (URL10) 2017-present Lexus LC 500 (URZ100) 2022- Lexus IS 500 F-Sport Performance (USE30) 2016-present Toyota Hilux Dakar Racing Truck (T1)
@@mez6256 If we're going to be technical about it... They designed the cylinder heads, valve system, and helped design the block in the mid 2000s. They also helped design the 2JZ, the 4.8L v10 LFA engine, and most other Toyota performance engines. Its their specialty. Its a good partnership.
why not led turn signals, it drives me nuts. It looks good has led brake lights but they couldn't spend a bit more money and develop led turn signal bulbs for the car?
Yes I did, the instant acceleration never got old, neither did the pre-heating & pre-cooling. But the lack of sound and always worrying to charge when the weather dropped below 15 degrees was tiring.
Nah the rcf v8 which is prob the same engine here has always disappointed in terms of sound. Lc500 sounds much better but that's reaching super car territory
You can tell the Lexus styling is the same language as the 2020 Hyundai Elantra. Granted the Hyundai Elantra was the one that moved towards the Lexus edgy styling. It seems that the role model for the Korean brands are: Hyundai => Upper European namely German = VW, BMW, Audi styling ques Kia => Upper Japanese and mid European namely French = Lexus, Renault and Citroens
