@@MauriceBln1 total BS. Porsche minion. my 991.1 GTS was 130K loaded. Now almost 30% more in 6 yrs? Ridiculous. Problem with GTS is depreciation. Never keeps value like a GT3.

@@02hreblue30 quality has its price, as previously stated. They will sell every one they build and can’t argue with that. It is also a very different car to a GT3. Get your head out of your arse!

@@02hreblue30 Not true. 2 or 4 GTS is the 'sweet spot' in the line has become one of the most sought after 991's with waitlists over 18 months in my area. GTS are holding their value very well, thank you. .1second slower to 60mph than the GT3 but I'll live with it.....ha.

@@silvercat7328 I'm going to order a GTS convertible PDK with PASM + 10 mm, in GT silver, black full leather interior with crayon stitching. Too bad this is'nt possible with the GTS logo in the headrests of the seats. Any recommendations on the side skirts in black or painted in GT silver as well ? What is the option of the Exclusive Design taillights ? Feel free to make any recommendations of options I must have or not. Thank you !

PASM = Porsche Adaptive Sport suspension. Targa has standard PASM and Coupe and Cab have Sport PASM which is stiffer and lowered 10mm. If desired, you can delete the sport PASM and just get regular PASM. PDCC - Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control - an option on all cars which helps with body roll. Debatable as to whether it's needed, but based on first hand experience, I would not get the Targa without PDCC due to it's top heavy nature.

Good review. Subscribed. Enjoyed to sound of that beautiful engine, and your commentary. One thing regarding your comments on the rear wheel steering... it does feel weird at first, especially on fast sweepers, like the back end isn’t following in the usual way, or maybe a little disconnected as it starts to work. However, once you get used to it, it’s marvellous. It feels like there is far less lateral stress on the rear tires and suspension, and it dives beautifully into corners and tracks more accurately and easily through corners. You can carry higher speeds into corners with less pendulum at the rear. Truly amazing, in my opinion. I would order it again every time. Cheers!

The GTS offers very few unique features over a 911S. The only included one is 20 or so additional hp.It comes with a sport design package but all other features are expensive options. The one unique one that would be expected is the interior GTS package which is cosmetic and a $7000 option.An almost Identical 911S seems about -20 k less for sure with likey no performance increase. A GTS 2 coupe is over 160k. Thats a lot of premium for badging. FYI I love my 992 -2 coupe manual.

true statements. GTS USED to be a great deal for vs loaded S. Not so anymore. Also the top speed for S is 195mph. To say this is 192 is laughable.

The GTS does have an increase of 30 hp, helper springs in the rear, And the sport design package, The suspension is lowered 10 mm, The brakes are somewhat larger than on the S and an included Alcântara covered steering wheel and dark painted rims of the same size as the S. These are all small bits That on a track maybe noticeable. But it does not include any of the major upgrade suspension options. Also black headlights. And unfortunately there are no unique paint colors, so it looks identical to an S it’s not any different in the body because they are all wide bodies. And the interior package is $9000!!! Which basically everybody would like if they’re getting that model. So it’s hard to look unique and let people know you bought a GTS.

Much larger brakes, different suspension tuning (50% increase in spring rate in the front) with helper springs, less sound deadening, and more power are all relevant upgrades that you cannot spec on an S. Maybe not worth it to some people but the GTS is not just a better optioned S.

The only thing I would disagree with are your comments on the brakes. The stopping power of the two brake options will be identical and you won't experience fade on either brake option on the street. The carbon ceramic brakes will resist fade better under extreme conditions (which you won't see outside of a track) and will be better for brake dust. If you are feeling better braking on the ceramics on a street test, it's likely just the overall weight difference in the two cars and the suspension differences (theTarga has different suspension tuning) that you are noticing... not the brakes.

CCB is nice, but be careful when it is wet. Does not stop well during heavy rain or after a car wash. Can easily lead to an accident. Need to remember that and keep it dry.

Truth. I have the PCCB's in my GT4. I was driving along the freeway in pouring rain for about 10 minutes straight, when I exited an off-ramp I barely had any breaks. Pushing hard, I barely felt any slowing for the first ~20-30 yards. Would have been an accident for sure if there were cars backed up at the light. This was the only time it happened in 5 years, but was also the only time I drove in pouring rain.

The sound of the engine resonated loudly while the driver was talking. Sort of wondering if it's too noisy for extended trips or if the vehicle is to be used as a daily commuter. ?

We were also driving in sport mode the whole time. If you leave it in higher gear, it's much quieter (as least the Targa). The Coupe with the Lightweight Package is pretty droney.

lightweight option is a joke and noisy. For wannabe racers. Get a GT3. Race buckets are NOT comfy for extended time in car. Just a fact

@@carbuzzcom I prefer the styling of the 997 and 991s more. Especially the 991s. The new interiors don't look premium to me, in design. It just looks rather modern and kinda generic IMO.
