best geared 50 on the market. When u hit 17, desrestrict, smaller rear sprocket and tune - it will be like a different bike. not far off the best 125's to 60mph. cheaper than changing bikes and better the devil u know. keep it tidy and they hold their value brilliantly.
People in Spain like to just derestrict it and slap on the bike a Voca or Yasuni exhaust, can reach about 93 KPH There are some that get a 70cc, if the carb isn't big enough it gets changed, a setup like that can reach 110 or 140 depending on how you tune it
I’m 58 , rode bikes since I was 13 , when I was around 18 fizzers , ap50s would do around 45 , then bang 30 mph ,,, how safe was that, abit like linked brakes ,, it all stinks the whole system , rules made by arses not senior bikers , hence why I rode a fireblade for yrs before I passed my test , see ya in 3 wks when I pop up from the midlands to see my son who lives around 10 miles from your shop , cheers shane uk 🇬🇧
I agree 100% with you Mark ... The Pen pusher that decided 28mph is an idiot ! ... I would however choose a 50cc Auto scooter over this as the acceleration would be much better (You don't have to change gear every 5-6mph ) & Is generally better/safer at the lights. But this wins on "Cool Factor" & That's all a 16yr old worries about .
To be fair, the engine hasn’t properly worn in yet as it’s a new bike so it isn’t running at its full potential, plus it’s derestricted which doesn’t let the bike rev to its full rpm. Once the engine has worn in and derestricted you won’t have to change gears every 2 seconds and will run quicker and better👍🏼
The frame of the mrt has been the same since 2009. Up until now, they haven't made any major changes to the looks of the bike. But it's a sturdy frame with a good construction, and is certainly better than anything else on the market. So i don't see why they would replace it. Piaggio, eat your heart out. Am6 bikes has always been superior. Still don't see why they call it the "LC". I really like that exhaust tecnigas made for it. Looks like their e-nox series exhausts. If you're looking for an mrt, buy a 2015 or older. No enviromental euro bullsh*t, no electrical restrictors. All you have to do is slap on different sprockets, a racing exhaust, and a bigger main jet. You'll be doing 50 mph easily, with quite some power too.
aha, was gonna look at one today... but every mechanic said is shit to buy these, and said they are the same as a volvo 240 and nobody want one of those... is this really true?

If you didn't took the bike to a mechanic already to do it for you, you need to get an aftermarket derestricted exhaust and ECU, swap them out, remove the restrictor on the air filter which is a plastic cover and change out the carburator main jet for a bigger one, I reccomend using a 105 main jet, then you are done
It has a type problem, the 2022 model has a particle filter in the exhaust that will get clogged and then it’ll only go 20mph. I sent mine back to a repair shop and now it goes 37mph on a flat road.
@@motorsforthemasses To be honest they're the same bike just the pro has fancy forks & bigger brakes. I'm glad they're still using the minarelli AM6 & not going 4t that engine can easily be tuned to 30bhp.
