I always stay glued to my TV until this montage every single season. It marks the TRUE ending of the NHL season for me. So cool that they used the hip this year. One of the best montages of the Sportsnet era of HNIC. Congrats Avs, see you next year!!
Life long Avalanche fan been through the dark times with this team and to now be Stanley Cup Champs is so surreal now i get to rub it in my co workers faces who all told me Lightning would win especially after the 6-2 loss this feels so good AVS FOR LIFE
Bold of them to make that claim after you won 7-0 the game before. Hard fought, well earned. You guys are the dynasty deniers, the kings of 2022! Rematch next year? - A Lightning Fan
My intro to hockey was with the Avs their first in 1996. I didn't realize how special that team was until after going through the long drought. Now I get to share this season's team with my daughter and the emotional road to the championship. Unbelievable.
Hello ben, tom, and joseph. Really appreciate the replys. Its the connection of hockey that brings us together. And the journey we have been on since 2001. Iam a married with fantastic condo and amazing full time job. Sharing it with my wife means the most to me
As a Flames fan, despite how it ended, at least having a few highlights for once felt really good Was such a fun playoffs this year and what an electric final series. Congrats to the Avs, see y’all next year!

Congratulations to the Colorado Avalanche on winning the 2022 Stanley Cup!! :-) 5 years ago they were at the bottom of the league but shrewd management, drafting, scouting, and key trades, not to mention patience, all played a part in the Avs rising back to the mountain top in these 5 short years. Meanwhile, hats off to the Lightning on making 3 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals, which is extremely difficult for ANY team to accomplish in today's NHL. The playoffs this year overall were terrific again as usual. Keep an eye out for both the Edmonton Oilers & New York Rangers, who each reached the conference finals this season, those two teams might not be far off from a Cup Final appearance of their own perhaps. Anyways, what a hockey season this was for sure. See you guys once again next season starting in October....! :-)
Thank you to all 16 teams who made up an entertaining playoffs this year. Congratulations to the Colorado Avalanche for their third Stanley Cup and their first in 21 years.

From start to finish. This 2022 Stanley Cup Playoff is amazing. Great matchups. Awesome teams sweeping the weak ones, while many of the series were close or right to deciding Game 7. Even with an OT winner to the series winner in Calgary at the conclusions of the First Round. Then the competition levels kept going higher and higher. Unsung heroes, Lemieux and Gretzky moves with MacKinnon and McDavid, along with Kucherov and oh yeah, the next Bobby Orr in a 22 years old Cale Makar as the MVP for the Avalanche. Who were 16 - 4 with two sweeps to deny Tampa Bay from Three Peat. The Leafs drove them to the brink in Round 1, easy sweep of the Panthers in Round 2. Down 0-2 against the Rangers and even 0-2 in Game 3, then they staged a huge comeback by winning 4 straight over Igor the Vezina Winner, who bailed the Rangers and kept them in the series. Finally Colorado were too much to overpower them. Thank You NHL! Hopefully the 2022-2023 Regular Season will carry this right on for the next season. Will the Bolts strikes back or the Avs stays at the top? It is already intriguing just one week removed from the deciding game of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final.

Congrats to the Lightning as well, you have a great team and just GETTING to the SCF three times in a row is an amazing achievement. The Lightning were definitely the best team the Avs faced in the postseason, you literally have to blind Vasy to get a puck by him, he's just incredible. Gotta say though that i lost some respect for coach Cooper during this series. I thought he was a class guy coming in, but man, between the whining on every goal and his inability to give the Avs any sort of praise afterwards was very surprising to me. Doesn't take away from the efforts of the players though. Hope to see you again in the SCF next year!
@@jimlanpheer5281 Say what people will about Cooper, he didn't come off like Tortorella usually does in the postgame scrums. Coop is still a class guy when it's all said & done.
You guys gave us a series worthy of being called a Stanley Cup final. This series will be one for the ages. Thank you guys for some incredible hockey and a few heart attacks as well. Winning against the best is greatest feeling and you guys were definitely that.
@@hockeygod8751 Or maybe it's because the Avs were the much, much, MUCH better team across the board? But crying about fake conspiracies is so much more fun tho, right?

Неплохой плей офф получился...только от западного финала большего ожидал...Колорадо без сомнения лучшая команда уверенно без шансов для соперников даже для чемпионов прошли путь к КС!))
They should’ve all broke their sticks over their knees to signify that they’ve destroyed Tampa’s streak. Unique celebrations are the best. And then frame the broken stick and hang it! But I doubt they were thinking any of this they just wanted Stanley lol
Hope next year any canadian team does get the cup. It has been 3 decades that we have not got the cup. Cup has been in USA for 30 years and really hope us canadians can have cup in our country for a change.
Well, most of the NHL are in fact Canadians. Cale Makar came from my hometown in Calgary, he graduated from Sir Winston Churchill High School near the University of Calgary, which was just a short drive from my home. So, yeah, the winning teams are mostly American, but the players have the roots a lot closer to us Canadians than you will ever known.
Congrats to every team that won a series this year and congratulations to the Colorado Avalanche. Tampa Bay didn’t really play there best in the cup finals
This year's Stanley Cup Playoffs was rigged beyond belief. Because of the officiating in the Leafs Lightning series. The Lightning getting to the Finals for the third time, and worst of all, the Leafs not getting a Cup Finals appearance. When are the Leafs gonna go all the way to the Cup Finals? Just when?
Sorry, tangent, but, I was just reflecting on this past season, and the one before... What is it with Sportsnet / Hockey Night in Canada and their ridiculous sponsorships? Last season, it was the disgraced Huawei cellphone company from Big China, who have been thrown out of most Western countries, let alone are they getting sponsorship deals! (While Huawei's SVP of North American Marketing was being HELD IN JAIL in Vancouver, on deportation to USA for charges of espionage!) And this season, Sportsnet bounces back with pathetic gambling sites (know your limit? play within it? Yeah... like ALL the people who lose their life's savings every day of the year on sports gambling addictions...) What a healthy, wholesome sponsorship! (AGAIN... not). While I know Chinese Communist Party controlled cell-phones services to mine personal data, and sports gambling, are both big money, so they can theoretically BUY THEIR WAY into markets... But could Sportsnet and HNIC show JUST A LITTLE BIT of moral dignity and decency, and consider where their sponsorship money is coming from? I live in Taiwan, R.O.C. (Little China; NOT associated in ANY way to The P.R.C. - Big China), and I had to sit through promotion after promotion of Huawei as I tried to watch NHL hockey, while The CCP continue to threaten an INVASION of Taiwan, on almost a daily basis. It made me sick. And now, this season, LITERALLY INTERMISSION SEGMENTS devoted to online gambling sites!! Jeez... How bloody low can they get. May as well just bring The Mob on as Official Sponsors. Again, just disgusting. (And of course, more than a couple of online gambling sites were competing overall in the NHL commercials air-time for their services... So, so pathetic.)
