I really think they should have changed the gearing a bit on this so it cruises below 3k rpm at 60mph / 100kph. I only say that because in any car, cruising just below 3k seems to be the most comfortable for the engine as regards noise, and 60mph on motorways is relaxing and economical, I sit at that speed in my Subaru as its only a 5 speed box. You don’t use fifth gear off road and although in some cars with modest power, you need the revs up a bit to maintain progress on motorway inclines etc but I still think they missed an opportunity here. Most people can only afford one car so the ability to do distance in a more relaxing way would appeal to more buyers.

Hi! Do you find the Jimny’s steering wheel to be ok with self centering? I was thinking of buying one but I went on a test drive where I realized I had to take the steering wheel back to center 100% manually

Wait until at least 5000 rpm. 1. lift the foot entirely from the gas. 2. press clutch. 3. shift. 4. release clutch. 5. press gas more than 10%. Repeat. You're welcome.

They finally understood that the 1.5 had to be turbocharged for 2023... It's crazy how long they took to understand that they wouldn't sell any in Europe without this engine modification

There will be no 1.5 Turbo in the Jimny... the next one will be fully electrical or the 1.5 Mild-Hybrid for europe. And the typical Jimny driver doesnt want shitty unreliable turbochargers/electrical motors... this is also the reason why the K15B is not using direct injection, its cleaner, its reliable, its durable, its easy to repair. If the Jimny in the EU comes as full EV or Hybrid... the GJ/HJ 1.5 Liter Petrol variants will be payed thier wight in gold.

That metal divider needs to be removed so the seats can go back. Question: is it possible to add 2 more seats in the back as it used to be when Jimny was first rollled out?

It's there for regulation. With the 2 seats and the divider, it can be classified as a commerical vehicle and therefore have different emission standards.

yup, but this car's strong points are off roads / forest / nature / some adventures. Highway is not among that, of course you can do the highways but at the top speed it's not gona be very comfortable.

Seems like it’s pretty rough and poorlu absorbs the shocks on the unpaved roads. I live in a shitty place where 50% of the road is like this making me wonder if i should get a jimny or not.
