There isn't really a fix other than replacing all silicone in the whole freaking engine with gaskets, which is easier said than done. Warranty claims will likely be less expensive than re-engineering the engine and production. So, don't hold your breath on them doing anything other than trying to get out of warranty claims when they start pouring in. I doubt any sane person will want these ticking bombs once out of warranty.

@@Carlos.Rivera highly doubt they'll changed anything for the 23s. I was almost pulling the trigger on a 23 BRZ. Local dealer said 3-6 months to get one depending on trim, colour and transmission. Going to hold off to see it they do anything in the mid-life refresh.

@@cyborg2048 ones a lightweight RWD dedicated sports car the other is a sporty economy car. Both are great in there own way but they really aren't comparable

@@cyborg2048 honestly there isn’t much that competes with the 86. The Miata is the closest competitor but it is a 2 seat convertible. The Mustang, Camaro, 230i, Nissan Z are too big and heavy.

@@jjchockey with the way it handles maybe a 2.0 supra or Porsche but that's a different price bracket. The 86 is a bit of a unicorn but comparisons even if not equal will highlight that.
