I don't know why wagons are not more popular? It has all the best characteristics of a sedan, with (in the case of this car) more space than your larger SUVs. Literally, the only thing that it doesn't have is the ride height. I can't imagine that ride height alone is the biggest factor in success of an automobile. Sure, it's easier to get in and out of, but you lose so much more. Handling is worse, safety is decreased (for occupants, higher likelihood of rollover and for pedestrians more dangerous). Comfort is the same, interior space is also similar. Like, I don't get it.

The black optics package doesn't work on that color. Would have looked much nicer with the standard aluminum trim.

@@morarliece1428 can’t guarantee delivery time on any 23s and no timetable on 24s and heard it won’t be sent to NA anymore. So just went with BMW

You fail to mention that the Mercedes-Benz E class all terrain has a folding third row, which can be an incentive for some families to purchase the Benz.

I ordered one yesterday fully optioned minus the $5k stereo. It’s my 3rd Audi wagon; trading in an A7.

@@johnhowardesq originally a 2023 but delayed to be built in another 2 to 3 weeks so it will be a 2024. Expected to be delivered in September.

@@christopherbullock2644 That’s helpful. I have to get mine after January 2024. Need to figure out order timing. Probably safe to order late September. Also need to find a Texas dealer who won’t charge an added markup. I have one in PA if I need them. Mercedes told me MSRP is ok but Audi here in Austin won’t answer that. Do you have pricing information on the Prestige? Order guide doesn’t have it.

@@johnhowardesq no pricing yet. I expect it to go up less than $1000. My dealer, Audi Greenville SC has one Chronos Gray right now due to cancelled order & a white one due within 30 days. Both 2023; mine will be the first 2024 received.

@@johnhowardesq Don't go to Audi North Austin, they suck. Terrible customer service and lots of game playing. Go to Audi South Austin, we service my wife's Audi S4 there after an incident with my wife and the service manager at Audi North Austin.

I love the a6, but they don’t want to sell them. I soon as they pop up, they sell. So much for Americans loving SUV’s.

Yea I ended up ordering the 24 X5 Definitely wanted the allroad as an option but I heard they’re not bringing them to NA sadly. Hope I’m wrong on that

I was able to get one, someone ordered and waited two years… He cancelled and I was 5th in line… But the Sales guy was my age and knew I wanted one and it fit my lifestyle. The dealer mentioned… they wont see another for a couple of years. Allotments are hard to come by, so if you want one, plan to wait. And for those of you in line, be patient, friendly and slip some 100’s hahaha.

@@tcaf95account67 Dealer here is saying they think I can get one, and not much wait. I need more info on the wait. If it’s a year, I need to order now. No online ordering or building for 2024 yet. Grrrrr.

Great review! I own a 2020 E450 wagon and preferred it over the Allroad. I preferred the drive of the E450, better handling in a sporty sense and like you, preferred the interior. One major thing that I didn't not like about the Audi, the rear seats do not fold flat, they sit at about 35 degrees which consumes a lot of cargo space. The E450's rear seats fold flat and it has more cargo space than the Allroad, something important to us as we have two large dogs which we haul around. The Audi was $5K less than my E450 equipped the same. My E450 has been flawless since 2020 and we've done some long trips, to Canada from Texas and the seats are all day comfortable and we got 510 mile per tank while cruising on the highway to Canada. Either way, get yourself a wagon, I love them.
