Thankfully, Porsche is releasing a limited edition 911 S/T that is also naturally aspirated making over 500 HP and only comes in a manual transmission.

Seeing a well spoken, classy black man stunting with a C8 and a 911 is inspiring af. That Vette is sick, but that 911 just does it for me without looking gaudy or garish. If one HAD to go, it better be the cheap thrills side piece (C8) cause the 911 is all class.
cheap thrill lol. a loaded z06 is more costly. owned a few 911, all boring as hell. sounds like a lawn mower. wouldnt buy one again. have had some AMG products that have way more soul than a 911. the z06 is on another level, an engineering masterpiece, honestly.
I see a lot of used Corvettes at Porsche dealerships. Don’t see many used Porsches at the GM lot. I spoke to a sales rep once and asked about it, and he said “Yeah, most guys trade them in after they realize it’s not all they thought it would be.”
It was a pleasure listening to you two gentlemen accurately discuss this Z-06. I have the C8, and recently drove the 911 GT4 while my wife was signing the paperwork on her new Macan. I loved hearing how perfectly you described the exceptional performance and the few downsides. Im holding out for the Zora, but I absolutely love my C8. Hey you guys in my opinion have done one of the best reviews of the zo6 I have seen. The reason I say that is because all the reviews I have seen is all about how fast it is and all that bs that normal people don't care about you guys nailed it with the good the bad and the ugly thanks....
They both have their niches, but the H shift manual wins it for me. If the C8 came in H shift it would be the other way around! There's a reason all the T.50s will come in three pedal H shift.
As an owner of a 537rwhp C6, keep the Porsche imo. You already know the reasons though. The Z06 is an amazing vehicle, but it's just another fast car that's going to be replaced by electrics. You won't find that Porsche again, even if you do, it will be worn in by someone else.
There's nothing special about the porsche. Besides it being an awesome car, I believe your description fits the porache, where electric replace the Porsche. Mainly due to the engine. It's just another v6 turbo. Wheras, this is GM's last fully naturally aspirated v8 engine and it being a flat plane crank with their highest revving engine. The z06 will go up in value. If not now, then soon.
Great video. Nice to see Milton again. FYI, I am a dedicated Porsche enthusiast. I drive a ‘21 992 (manual). However, the ‘Vette is a very special automobile. The ZO6 package is definitely the way to go. I must admit pound for pound the ‘Vette w/ ZO6 pkg delivers the most performance metrics at a reasonable price point of any sports car on the market. Keep up the good work. Long live the manuals.
Great point on the splash guards! I have the same complaint and have been searching for them for my Z06, and found that ACS, EOS, and Paragon all say they are going to be offering them soon! I’m staying tuned, hopefully very soon but none gave an specific month.
Bro if u showed up to a car meet in a gt3 porsche vs a zo6. The gt3 would have WAY more people around it taking pics. Even the turbo s is better then any corvette
I wouldn't get rid of either. That 991 is going to be VALUABLE. BUT, The Z06 is insane and also will be very valuable. I used to have a 73 4 speed vette with a built motor. Now have 2 Porsches. 😊
Great show guys I enjoyed this one. The Porsche 911 for years was my favorite car and I still love them, but after getting my c8 Stingray z51. Oh my god I can't imagine any car better than the c8 right now for what you get for the price. If you have the option to keep both, do it. The Z06 is a step above my Stingray, but I'm telling you my Vett is going nowhere right now. Enjoy those cars, if your wife says it's ok 😅 life is too short.

12:29 - I was one of those people who looked down on the Corvette until this past weekend when I got a chance to drive a 911 and a Corvette back-to-back for the first time. And OMG was I pleasantly surprised by how amazing the Corvette was! It completely blew my expectations! Hard to believe but I actually enjoyed the Corvette way more than the Porsche. I wanted to love the Porsche but it just felt stiff and "blah" and too normal/easy to drive... it didn't have that drama/excitement like the Corvette.
Without even watching ONE SECOND of this video, I can tell you this. Power and performance has nothing to do with public opinion of these cars. I had a Porsche and NO ONE CARED. I now have a C8 Z06 and get looks NON-STOP, constant compliments and lots of questions.
Lmfao. Id bet my life u didnt have a new 992 turbo S or gt3 or gt2. The actual high end porsches that are rare af. Brotha i see 3 corvettes going to the gym. Deadass. Its known as a poor mans sports car for a reason. Ive never seen a 992 turbo s or gt3 out on the road in my life. The zo6 and a regular c8 all look the same for everyday people. If u went to a car meet and i already know this the brand new turbo s or gt3 thats specd out beautifully would get infinitely more looks and pics. If u gave someone both cars for free pick one they would choose a high end porsche everytime. I have neither car. Thats just a fact.
Thank you, gentlemen, for a great real world review on the ZO6. I have an 80's 911 Carrera Cabriolet and a C7 Stingray. I have been debating selling both of those and getting a C8 Z06. That old Carrera would be hard to let go. It's nowhere near the performance of the newer cars, but there is just something so special about it. It just drives great!!
Turbo S isn’t a comp but the 3RS against the Z06 w/Z07 is an interesting comparison if the question is only track. The Z is an experience only really rivaled by the 458. The 3rs in this generation is really not a good road car and is also realistically after ADM 2.5-3x the price of a Z…
Glad to see an update that Milton's keeping the 911 GTS. Both great cars, and like he said. Going to buy a used car of the same car you ordered from the factory would be painful. Bet he knew then, even with a new great car, the older Porsche still brings some unique pleasure in driving....

I have owned several super nice European sport cars, including Porsche 911 turbo and 911 GTS, while Porsche is amazing car and it definitely has no alternatives, my brand new 2024 Z06 is real good, actually they both don’t belong to supercar class (mostly because of price point) if I can say one is super car class I believe Z06 falls more into supercar class.
Milton you're crazy as hell. Just reached the end of the video and loved how you compared driving and owning the Corvette to cheating on your wife. 😂 I can almost guarantee, as long as you own a 911 turbo or GTS vehicle, the Corvette will always be your mistress. 🤨

I have never driven a Porsche, but I respect them. I'm on my third Corvette. I've owned a 1988 Z51, a 1991 ZR-1, and now a 2016 Z06. I've also owned a 2011 CTS-V. Glad to be back in a Corvette. Enjoy that Z06 Milton!. Thanks for the video!

Although the flat plane crank seems to be one of the highlights for you, I'm really curious to hear your take on the E-Ray. Unless you're buddy has a spiritual experience in the ZO6, I would think the E-Ray would be a better fit for someone like him...
Totally agree Joe! We had a C8, and I am only 6’1” but long torso, and felt that I could not get low enough in the seat like I can with my 911’s. Totally agree.
Perhaps it was because I drove both cars back-to-back that I felt I was sitting high in the Z06. In the 911, I feel nice a low and when driving in a spirited, sporty way, I feel more connected to the car being in it that low. The Z06 felt like I was sitting on top of the car (I am exaggerating a just to make the analogy). The Z06 is very comfortable and the bolstering of the seats made me feel locked in, so all that is good, but I just felt a bit high up in the cabin.
I drove a 98' corvette and was in shock at the suspension back then. I couldn't imagine what the magnetic ride is like. It seems like you're on a cloud in tight turns.
He made a great point about revs and those that like to cruise or do quick bursts at red lights. Stingray or boosted cars are better for that due to low end torque. I had an r8 for a short period and didn’t enjoy it because it didn’t give me that low end torque and its the same for the Z06 you gotta get these cars up in the rpm range to really get them to “boil” as he states. Red light to red light races are tougher too in these high rev cars they are more suited for the track or longer range races for sure.
Great content. C8 stingray is my first sports car and I have my name on the list for a z06 but was told that the wait can be 2 years so figured drive the stingray till then. 911 is a great car however starting price is way too much and honestly for a few thousand more I could get a z06, which I feel is lot more value as said by a owner who owns both. Porsche you really have to step up to the gts to get NA which is 2.5 times the price. Stingray does not rev to 8600 6500 instead but it is still plenty fast for most city driving I feel. Will wait for the Z until then enjoy the Stingray
the Z06 has proved its faster than the new GT3 on track and in the 1/4 mile. The GT3 RS is a little faster on course not the 1/4. It is a shame you can't even buy front or rear mud guards like you can for the C8 Stingray. I had a 21 Stingray and now have a 23 Z06
The NEW GT3? Are u serious. The 992 gen has been out for 5 years. The z06 just came out. Wait on next year for the new engine and design 992.2 versions. They will all be even faster. The turbo S and gt2rs already smoke the z06 in a straight line. U cant say the zo6 is faster then the gt3 around a track when it depends on the track. Every review ive seen they say the porsche is by far the better braking and handling car but the z06 on the straights gain the time lost back. Theres a reason they havent released an offical lap of nuruburing yet for the zo6. Its obviously not beating a GT porsche or theyd of posted it by now.
Excellent video and comparison. However, I'll take my 911 turbo S over a vette 7 days a week. I think the vette is a great car, but it's nothing like driving a Porsche. To me, the vette will always be a cheaper substitute.

I have a 2021 992 Turbo S and 2023 06, similar power/performance/price and love them both. My convertible 06 is a little more exciting/sensory but the Turbo is like fine China, appreciate sophistication. Some question price similar, got the S at list and paid over for 06 and got all the options. Within 10% of each other price. The Turbo and 06 pull the same and a different experience than 992 GT3 which I traded for the 06. The back road twisty they are the same. For the street they are two best cars money can buy. Both are livable day to day unlike the other super cars
You are living a dream. The Turbo S can function as track and daily driver. Currently waiting for my ZO6 to arrive. I sold the C8 Stingray too soon. We used it for track and daily driving duties. Our 992 Carrera serves as the long-distance cruiser. The ZO6 is more of a want than need vehicle. It will take the place of the Stingray as a track vehicle and daily cruiser. Looking forward to matching the Carrera vs ZO6 long distance cruising capabilities. The ZO6 will be an addition to our small stable.
For me personally id take a 911 all day long most reliable supercars on the planet and they are gorgeous 🤩 to choose one 🕜 ver a Z06 itd have to be a turbo or GT3 though
Excellent conversation with Milton. I love the new C8, but I'm not a Z06 type of guy personally. However, I can definitely see myself owning a Stingray Z51 with magnetic ride at some point. For around $90k well equipped, that car is the bargain of the century.
Exactly! Stingray is an insane value, most non-car people can’t even tell the difference between the Stingray and the Z06. Z06 also looks bit strange from the front. Most Importantly, V8 Rumble Sound>Flat Plane
First of all awesome video as usual, my concern is the monetary value. I have a 2018 991.2 GTS MIAMI BLUE! I bought it two years old, but the price I paid then I can get the same price now with the car being 5yrs old! Great buy for the Vertte for all that you get! I can't compare the two because I have yet to drive a vette!

I really appreciated the sit down talk, the experiences you both have shared and Milton hit on something I experienced as well in my '16 Z06 w/Z07 package and when I first got it in '18, it had 2k miles from a collector and it had the sport cup 2 tires, which I honestly thought are probably great for a track, but for a new corvette owner, getting caught out in the rain, yes, that rear end danced around and made me very nervous and Milton said it well, you have to exercise some thoughtful restraint when driving in the raid so that you don't hydroplane and wrap it around a tree or light pole! I'm going in a different, but similar direction, now I''d like to get an older Porsche 911 either GTS, 4S or S maybe '17 and get to know that car as well! I will not sell my vette, as I enjoy driving it, just have had owning a Porsche on my bucket list as well! Appreciate the video fellas, would like to drive/ride with you if you ever find yourselves in Texas! Thanks, Brian

I've been a Chevy man since the 1970s but I've always loved the 911. I think anyone buying one of these will enjoy the crap out of it and either one would put miles of smiles on their face.
So self confessed car nut and have owned 5 different corvettes, but they are all gone now and it's only the Porsche 911 997.2 TTS in the garage. My buddy took for a ride in the new Z06 and yeah it is freaking amazing and that start-up is insane, but it's a one trick pony...granted it does that one trick very well. The 911 will age like a fine wine, the Z06 is just too boy racer for me, but I'm closer in age to the gentlemen in this video lol. Keep 'em all if you can!
I have both. 2022 911 GTS Cab and 2022 Corvette Stingray 2LT HTC. They are both different animals. Sometimes you feel like you are driving a lambo or a Ferrari in the stingray but it still a Corvette. You get lots of looks and the car is fun to drive. The 911 is a 911, it does everything well, puts you a different class, its the better all around car. Both cars do their jobs really well.
He’s comparing a 6-7 year old mid range 911 to a brand new top of the range Corvette. For him to struggle over which one to keep should tell you the answer right there. Keep the 911. We still don’t know the longevity of Chevrolet’s flatplane motor. The 6.2L is pretty bulletproof. But the 911 is iconic no matter what and is just a better built vehicle. Not saying the Corvette isn’t good, but I suspect its looks and style will not stand the test of time as well as the 911 has. The Corvette is also just a physically larger and heavier car, about sedan sized now.
Never drive a covette so i can't talk it down but i don't like the looks/ shapes that much. Own a 2018 cayman gts, have a 17 blk 911 c2s pdk convertable and a 718 spyder manual, chalk, that drives like race car and after a soul exhaust sounds lile one too. Good video guys, enjoyed it.
@18:50 totally agree. Dealerships in the states are losing long-term customers. It’s about relationships folks, not single off “how much profit can we get” transactions. And that infidelity line at the end was gold! 😂
GM has been killing it with their recent hirings (past couple decades). Cadillac once they dropped the Catera and introduced the CTS (which became the indication of the brand's styling to come. Buick actually looks poised to crash back onto the scene. And then of course, the 'vette team has hit it out of the park... stadium... Earth's gravitational pull... The E-Ray is incredible too and I cant wait for the ZR1 and Zora models to really start swinging on the Hypercar heavyweights...
Lover your stuff keep it up. I agree with Milton that if you are able keep them both. They different enough that you will have a different experience. He also identify some key point that is happening in the car world that may dictate having them both.
