I believe the C8 Z06 is a world-class performance car. It can take on all comers. As of filming this video, Milton hasn't driven it yet, so we will have to see to be sure. But on spec, this is truly one of the best performance cars on the market right now.
I can tell throughout life, this gentleman has had incredible discipline. I would have at the least driven the car around the neighborhood. Beautiful car and I wish him plenty of happy joyous miles behind the wheel.
Love the way the owner spec'ed out the car! Please do a follow-up video with his comparison to the 911. I was really thinking about getting one someday! But once more excellent video, well done!
I got my 71 Corvette (St Louis build) while attending college in Bowling Green, KY 1976. In 1985 got my first of many 911's over the years. I really want Milton to love his Z06. It would blow my mind if he chooses the Corvette. What an accomplishment for the folks in BG and Chevrolet.
Congratulations Milton. I don't think you made a bad decision at all. The Porsche 911 was my favorite car for years and I still love it. I now own the C8 stingray and it is the best car I have ever driven. I have never driven the Porsche before, but if it drives anything like the C8 Vett, it has to be amazing. Enjoy your Z06 sir and have fun.
That is a great specification. I did stay with a “crazy” color, Orange 🍊 and it makes me and everyone who sees it smile. Let us know how you like the paddle shifting. One additional upgrade is red paddle shifters. You’ll love the retractable roof too, no lost trunk space and no back pain lifting it out of the center section.
Chevrolet has always done an incredible job making their Z06s and ZR1s significantly more attractive to casual Corvette fans like myself. I’m a Porsche fan as well but absolutely love the C8 Z06. Awesome spec Milton! Strong Ferrari and Lambo vibes with the blacked out roof ❤
Yeah, I agree with you on all points. That spec is great and the Z06 has the proper amount of additional aggression over the Stingray. Chevy did a great job. Let's see if the drive matches the great looks!
Congratulations Mr Porsche, the ZO6 is beautiful, the color combo looks great, I am very interested, to hear & see more videos, about the experience of ownership, when you start driving, and breaking the car in. And the performance comparisons between both cars. Thank you for a great video 👍
Beautiful vehicle and so happy to see successful people enjoy their toys 👍🏼. I would love the opportunity to learn from you or your guest, just for an occasional question if possible. Well proud of the success of your channel and for inspiring new creators.
I don't think he will regret the decision either. From what I can see, the Z06 is amazing. We will need to do a follow up video to hear about his driving impressions.
@@Joe_Hutchinson His naturally aspirated 911 GTS is weak and slow. The ZO6 should be compared to the Turbo S, and the GTS to the Stingray. It's a shame he didn't buy the only Porsche worth owning (Turbo S), and that all Porsches are ridiculously overpriced. Kind of ridiculous he owns that ghetto Dodge, but no previous Corvettes. It's obviously a cultural thang.
Y’all have no concept of what you’re talking about. The Z06 has lack luster low end torque, everything sits in the higher RPMs where a 911 shines through the entire power band. A Turbo S is a 2.2 to 60 car on paper (and Porsche always lies about its times, they’re always even better), that’s so above and beyond a Z06 it’s not even funny. This review is a 911 guy that owns but has never driven a Z06 lol. Even he can’t comment on his own vehicle, he says himself he’s never driven it.
When you buy a car that was unavailable to test drive… and you want the car protected by ppf before you drive it on the hostile to paint finishes street… you have to be patient and wait for the post purchase prep-process. They did an introductory video, with another driving experience video soon to come. You should Calm down .. take a deep breath.. Persons on this channel are not soliciting one dimensional narrow points of views. This channel is about real car enthusiasts with an interest in experiencing many manufacturers design interpretations. A true car enthusiast respects all of those interpretations even if he doesn’t like them enough to buy. I would get a kick out of a discussion about the performance of a AMC Pacer. Furthermore, Naturally Aspirated Flat Plane Crank engines do not have turbos to boost hp throughout vast spectrums of the rpm range…the NA Porsche GTS and the NA Z06 Vette are not boost-cheaters. There is also a “Price Point” position being discussed here. And these guys are making an amateur video on the subject.. they are not posers, they are enthusiasts seeking and sharing perspectives. Any “Show-Biz” “Look at ME” “KeyFobbers” who can only appreciate 0-60 times and not the history + soul of a Naturally Aspirated automobile are the downers/posers … they only show / speak up to judge others. You are the undercover down-low types that act like car guys but refuse to give up the left lane for faster traffic. And the Dodge being a cultural thang comment is more proof of the same. The suggestion that this person owning a Dodge is somehow tied to his ethnicity or culture is absurd. He can like or own whatever he chooses.. This channel is for lovers of automobiles, not haters. There are plenty of political channels for you to subscribe to for rants.
Looked at some C8 stingrays and then looked at a z06 at a dealer and the z06 just makes the others look basic if that’s even fathomable. I’ve driven some exotics but nothing handles like a vette. I love that throw you in the seat power of the LT motors. You did it right beautiful car
So look forward to part 2 then where we actually get to drive the car 😂 could have at least turned it on much more near the beginning anyway. Does look 👌Do wish he shared if he paid an ADM fee as well.
Actually No you are wrong, ALL the interior is not adrenaline red if you go with the 3LZ, you can get the exact same color combo as you have (black and red) with 3LZ. What you are talking about is the “red dipped” interior which is an option that is only available with the 3LZ, but not required. The 3LZ interior is higher quality and well worth the small difference in price, being a Porsche guy, I’m very surprised you did not do more research and go with the higher interior quality.
I agree, the Z06 is a great looking car. I think the did a great job of making it more aggressive than a standard C8. And the standard C8 is already a good looking car.
Ill take a GT3 over this everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Corvette is a value proposition that is it. It is inferior to the 911. See you next year Milton when the honeymoon is over.
LMAO… We will see.. I have owned 4 911s and this is my first Vette.. I am telling everyone who poses the questions… Give me some time to experience it.. So far I am pleased, this Z06 is special.. but it is x degrees different from the 911.
Sounds like he has done his time and research on Porsches. The question is does his 911 have over 200 miles on it. Nice to have his initial review. He needs to drive it. Buy a 3 day trip permit and drive it.
The off brand ferrari for off brand ferrari price. My 35k ten speed 5.0 gapped one of these c8 things on the highway. I simply don't understand why anyone would waste the money on one these ferrari wannabes.
why oh why do people constantly ruin their specs and the car essentially with the red puke interior? So sad people think red looks good inside... its vertually unsellable... at least to me it is.
LOL… “I said its like a Mormon having to choose which of his wives he was going to send away…”. A funny analogy….. LOL…. Nothing but respect for any man that can handle multiple wives and be happy.. 😂
