Reaching a max payload number for a truck is difficult and often never specced out like that by customers. Both the max payload and max towing would be applicable to a very specific configuration truck. Like you mentioned a base model XL 2WD dually. Start adding options like leather and screens, these trucks get heavy and will decrease payload numbers. For max payload, Ford has an option for heavy-duty payload on regular cab F-350 DRW that equips the truck with a 6.8L gas V8 and strips some weight to achieve 8000lbs payload. Similar situation with max towing, a special package is required on a specific spec truck.

Ford now uses a Bridgestone tire. The tread seems a little more off-road capable compared to the old Michelin's

If you were to shift manually it will show the gears.

It isn't fake if it actually has a function. They are meant to carry heat away from the engine to allow for increased cooling.

It is definitely a unique wheel design but we think it looks great on the Platinum models. A must-see in person for sure!

If anybody is paying over sticker for ANY Ford, they should walk away from that dealer. We discount Super-Duty's all the time.

Sunroof doesn't come included with Platinum, it is an optional feature. Some customers don't use it/don't need it so Ford makes it optional. Also saves $1500 off the price of the truck.

Once you’ve had one you’ll never want another sun roof, they are sick but they have problems

@@wheelinndealin I literally can’t have a sunroof I’m to tall when I drove my dads 2021 that has it my head can touch the roof because the headliner sits lower.

Ordered one last October and no build date yet so probably will never get it.

If you haul more than 4000 pounds of payload often then a DRW model would probably be a better idea. Much more stability and easier on the truck if it's a dually model. But this a very well optioned truck which means it's heavy so that will impact payload rating.
