Awesome review mate, the best so far. I have a current 2021 R/Raptor and it was always an argument amounts mate. - Lacking on power ! - Why Is it 2.0 litre ? - It doesn’t come with a cover ? - You paid how much ? - Should of bought a Merc or VW! I have to be honest they weren’t wrong. I basically bought it for the looks, the comfort and that was it. The power on the current model is pathetic to the point I spent 2k on a plug-go chip and and throttle by controller just to get it going and really when you spend 87k plus and it’s the most expensive truck on the market, you’d except a decent motor which I believed turned off a lot of buyers. Don’t get me wrong driving this as my daily is amazing, comfortability, ride height is you can’t fault. I just hope ford have fixed the smaller issues in there entertainment. I had a lot of issue with usb connect system and speakers were crackling and distorted especially on cold days. Looking forward to pick up my Silver aluminium Ranger raptor next April.

Its strange that noone ever talks about the front diff lockers, this is the industry's one of the total three vehicles having the front lockers, such as the Gladiator and the Colorado ZR2. Its just amazing.
@351tgv
@351tgv 2 года назад
The GMC Colorado ZR2 is not offered at all in Australia and since this is an an Australian based channel there is no need to mention a GM product that will never be offered here as an official model. As for Gladiator? They have been a sales dud in Australia.

Is it bigger inside or is still only as big as the standard ranger?? I dont really care if it goes fast, Australian roads aren’t rally tracks, I’m after width without having to go into an F150 and comfort.

We used to get the full range of F trucks to include bronco, then toyota took over and Australians lost their nut over hilux and cruiser, either way they are all over priced now and china will be like toyota in the 70s and eventually take them all out.
@CatFinder3000
@CatFinder3000 Год назад
Don’t know why you’ve been given all these tosser answers. The new bronco is produced as a left hand drive vehicle, Australia is right hand drive. To sell the bronco in Australia Ford has to convert LHD to RHD or produce vehicles in RHD. Either way Ford, like every other car manufacturer, is having supply issues. So Ford stated until demand dies down (or somehow the world can make cars a lot faster by resolving material supply issues) the bronco will only be sold LHD in America.

Spoke to a RAM owner, had to threaten him but he eventually told me his fuel consumption towing a van ,25l/100km. Not cheap , could afford a motel every 200km. Am I missing something ?
@rich7447
@rich7447 7 месяцев назад
Which Ram? Towing with a 1500 is an expensive undertaking. I averaged around 12 mpusg towing a 30' enclosed car hauler (14,000 lbs approx) with my 2011 Ram 2500 diesel. I have a Ford ordered, but don't have it yet so I can't give you fuel economy numbers for the Powerstroke.

other reviewers have stated that off road fuel economy is something like 31L.per 100km when using 4x4 low range. So far from what I have seen about the new gen Ranger Raptor does not change my mind that again FORD screwed up with engine selection, there is simply no need for a 3.0L V6 which ironically dates back to the Duratec family line (same bore and stroke but updated with 2022 tech) from the early 2000's, lol it even shares the same mounting point of the alternator, thankfully this is a north south eignine and not a transverse east west engine, that would if been a night mare to replace the alternator (as Ford Escape (or Mazda Tribute) V6 owners for reference). The correct engine would of been the 2.3L i4 turbo petrol in Mustang performance spec which has 235kW and 530Nm + it would be easy to develop a 6-speed.manual version (or a 6 speed with a +1 stump puller crawler gear like the Bronco version has) but nope Ford again fails to listen to customer requests. the other benifit is POWERBOOST option but again that is something that only Ford North America seem to get which suxs ass. also it's amazing (well to me) that how all these journos all of a sudden love the rear suspension which FALCON from 1982 to 2002 has the same rear automation set up but whatever

Not one mention of real fuel use. Poor form
@351tgv
@351tgv 2 года назад
Matt Campbell from another automotive review site has provided real world fuel consumption and it's not good, on-road metro/suburban with some motorway the Ranger Raptor is consuming around 15L per 100km, at consistent highway speeds (so 80 to 110km/h) the consumption is around 12L per 100km so that means the average should be around 13.5L per 100km, that is all RWD, you can add around 1L on suburban / metro and around 0.5L on highway speeds for AWD which should be around 14.25L per 100km. Where it gets bad is 4x4 High range, the report was around 17L per 100km and in 4x4 low range expect around 31L per 100km.
