Thanks for picking me up off the street to race! Overrall a great experience. That new Raptor-R is no joke and definitely should've came with a V8 from the start!
@@ovodrizzyszn7766 Literally the drive over I was debating flashing to E30 just for the fun of it, but it wasn’t me originally racing lol. The other car broke down so they threw me in 💀. Without a doubt it’s capable of way more on a custom tune!
@@ovodrizzyszn7766 It was great to see how my car could fair in a drag and to see what I can improve on. Definitely invest in a couple coolings mods to avoid heatsoak with back to back runs!
@@nichonaz I could tell you were heat soaked after the first race. I sent them an email as well to be on the show with my Audi S5. I would’ve smoked that Raptor to avenge you Lmao!!
I was reading comments looking for such info. about any of both guys they seem to be good guys, thanks @ThatDudeinBlue do you have that interview here on RU-vid?
This has to be one of the best "This vs That" in awhile. Not just the vehicles but comedy gold and just awesome vibe. Keep up the amazing content guys.
Not just that but it's 700HP and 37s - with factory transmission, transfer case, & axle shafts that can actually hold up to them! It's certifiably insane!!!
Not really at all. Lol. What is impressive is the conputer keeping it from slipping. My LB7 will blow my 13wide 33s off at 550 wheel. Of that Raptor is 700 crank, we aren't all that different, but if it is wheel, it most certainly shouldn't be too surprising. I am more inpressed with the launch! It looked reallh well planted.
Adding Gary (or another member of the crew) back into the car interviews is the way - much better closer to the old format with the inserted humor and questions. Please keep this format!
@@Nothingbutnet9 I don't disagree - the personalities helped a lot. At least this is a step back in that direction. Feels a little too scripted now still even with crew back in the mix.
The raptor is the most ultimate land travel machine made by man, it can do serious off roading and can still be faster af on the roads, the f 150 raptor R should be the us army truck
@@CoDJumpMaster 2010 was the only year with a 5.4 and a 6.2 as optional. It was discontinued in 2011 and every raptor up until the Ecoboost was a 6.2. Point being, it always came with a V8.
@Narrow Path Yeah, it's getting so stupid. Then you got people calling others broke because they can't afford a Raptor R. I sure as the hell can't afford a $150-$200k truck but I wouldn't consider myself broke lol
4wd and the 10 speed trans helps a ton on an unprepped road. And, the extra low end torque from the bigger engine and the supercharger helps it get up and moving. If they were on a prepped track it’d probably be the Supra winning.
@@NBSV1dumb comment of the video goes to you sir. Think about it, on a prep track surface he wouldn't need to put it in four-wheel drive which would give him even more power to the rear tires. Not to mention one of his tires and wheels probably weighs the same if not more than all four of that Supra.
@@zach8620this dude is like,oh yeah Well if the raptor wasn't built like it was and if it weighed more and had less power and we made the racing surface ideal then that's supra would have whooped ass lmfao. 😂😂😂😂 Bro, if you take all the tires off that Supra, and then also unplugged all the spark plugs, my wheelbarrow would whoop that ass.
There’s hardly any og’s left by the looks of it. I haven’t watched hoonigans in a hot min because I’ve been busy but anyway this is the first video I’ve watched in a while and there’s hardly any people left. Hert isn’t there zack isn’t there and a couple others. It feels fake now
@@paulhunter9613 yea but that was the only selling point to them. The power and the price. Everything else about the truck was sub par compared to the raptor. Now that they have matching power. The raptor is back on top. Personally.... I'd have to take the trx only because the shifter is normal. Idk wtf ford was thinking with these rocker style shifters and the dials.... They tried that bs in the 50s for two seconds because everyone thought it was gross. Still is.
@@evosolutionsllc.910 Of course the whole object of the TRX was power and speed. That’s why ford had to copy the idea of big HP in the truck. And dodge is not sub par in the TRX, people have said that about fords quality for decades . They are both decent trucks
Wow~ The confrontation between Raptor and Supra!! It's a match I never really thought of, but here we see it. And the performance of the raptor is amazing!!😍😍💕💕👍👍
Good race! Sick edit as ever! so happy to c ya'll with good vibes again on the track. looks like the team is strong once more.. and oh boi the next race Scotto Vs Vin?? yeaha
Ron laying out the straight truth, "on that note the Raptor should've always had a V8". I couldn't have said it better myself. Lol now we just need one in the new Ranger.
well ya shouldn't be. Its 3 years younger, 300+ more horsepower, tons more torque, more grip, etc... Everything about the truck is more advanced and considering its double the price of a supra, it should be.
@@kazvsty and yet people will say: "now try it on a road course" and he will just say: "now try it at Baja". I'll bet you months of wages the truck survives the road course. I don't think anyone would bet the same that the supra would survive Baja. Not saying you're wrong, it's just a strange match up from the start. Lot's of fanboys on both side also.
@@Marcus2750-u1t I’m not even a Supra fan u troll that’s a stock bmw inline 6 with an 8spd being outgunned by a 5.2L supercharged v8 with a 10speed like what did you expect
@@MT-qu4tk Scotto said the first part of This vs Dahm is over. Nothing about the season being over. But I'm willing to bet yes, he will almost certainly be back. I've been following Rob for a while and this was the first time the car was "finished finished." He still has more tuning to do and a larger turbo to install. If you will part 1 was a "shakedown run" for the car. Sorry, that was a lot.
@@korndog3415 season meaning season of the show aka first part and yeah I’ve been following rob since at the start of his channel when he had the rx7 stock living in Monroe Michigan where I live. Cool asf to see him and this car come this far
@@twilightmedia8575 57k with 330hp stock with 2 mods worth $1000 that give its 450whp vs a 150k truck with supercharged V8 making 700+. You’re really a moron🫵🏻😂
@@D46746d sorry toyota fan boy 🤣😂 being cheap does not make it any less useless, the raptor can carry the whole familly and can do anything be it towing, camping carrying loads, off roading and it still beats a 2 door sport car mend for one thing that is racing. plus its 2 times the supra's weight. turns out you are the one who is a moron here🤪. the raptor costs 109k by the way
I actually love how Gary asked questions that Nico could answer. I love the new intros, they just feel different. When the guys know what’s up they go on and on about their ride and if not even sure what they got it’s still entertaining 😂 Hoonigan for life 🤙
i've seen people spend significantly more money on cars and not even know what the name of the car was. you don't need to be an expert on a car to enjoy it.
@@sirmonkey1985 if you're gonna bring a car to a race where you know they're gonna ask you to tell you about the car you should at least do your homework, I'm not the only one that noticed either
I started rooting all out for the Raptor once I saw the roof spoiler on the Supra. It's a huge insult to Verus Engineering who makes quality aftermarket aero products for cars, only for some nitwit to block airflow to it with a roof spoiler. 😂 He could have spent that aero money for more speed.
