Yeah he’s an extremely solid player all around, you can tell he’s a seasoned pro. He just needs to get his reps back and I think he’ll quickly be back among the top for protoss
Interference matrix is difficult to balance against protoss, because they rely on single high impact units. Maybe it should have range reduced by 1 and upgrade time increased, it is less oppressive in mid game and high templar can feedback the raven easier.
spoiler below . . . . . . . Despite the loss, I quite liked the way Stats was playing. His defense in game one was inspiring. I think he lost the map for lack of "instinct" or "read" of when the tide was turning. I'd love to see how he plays once he's caught up on the "read" game as he makes it to more playoffs.
Come on, do people seriously think that's fair and balanced what happened to the loser in game 2? The race of the winner can just delete high-value units of the loser like that? State was just talking about the "nerf" but it turns out it didn't even affect the push of the winner.

Interference matrix always was a high risk high reward ability. In early game the impact is great because high value units are rare but that gets less important in later stages of the game. Also the whole push relies on the ability being used successfully. If it fails, the push fails, the army gets chased away or even destroyed and the counter aggression can be devastating. So, if Stats would've sniped the raven, or would've established a better defensive position where he could endure the push until the interference matrix was gone, or if Cure wasn't able to snipe the second colossus (and thus perhaps also not the disabled one) and therefore lost big parts of his bio army to collossus aoe damage - then suddenly stats would've looked very powerful with superior army, tech and economy. Just because a unit or ability can let look a game quite onesided doesn't mean it's not balanced. It's just very impactful to the one or other side depending on how successful it is used.

Hahaha, in 2023. Protoss still need Terran nerfing in patches... :D. Let's make marines require additional tech research before they can be made, maybe then Protoss will be satisfied...
@@ScoobyGSXR750 what do u mean? I am saying that protoss players, that are currently playing at GSL are weaker than terran or zerg players. If you look on lower leagues there are by far more protoss players than both zerg and terran. That is the reason why my conclusion is that the state of GSL is matter of skill not game balance
1300 floating minerals for Stats but he couldn't build a single cannon despite knowing he just has to survive... Would 10 cannons at the mining bases have made a difference or are these pros just too good and I don't understand?
