4000 miles clocked in on my 2023 z650. Got it late last year, but i've been loving it. No issues so far, got the tail delete kit from revzilla, really easy to do with just like an hour of your time and some tools. Haven't tried wheelies or anything yet, don't wanna crash lol. Currently in the process of getting bar end mirrors on, as i just really dislike the stock mirrors. I've got the same model as you, No ABS, but it's just a nice comfortable bike. I started on a Rebel 500 and switched to this, it's got just enough power for me to do what I need. I've gotten up to 125mph, but that's more than enough for me. It's a great medium bike. Beginners can comfortably learn on this and experienced riders can enjoy this as well. It's a really good mixture. I also live in OK, where the wind is crazy and even using this as my daily ride out in the open fields to work, wind doesn't throw me around. Great video!
Thanks! I've always liked the look of the Honda Rebels, glad ur enjoying ut z650, Id definitely recommend this as a beginner bike if you want a bike Ur not going to outgrow. once i come up with some money i'm gonna try to get the tail delete kit. i also might try out a windshield, because most of my driving is going to be highway, i just don't like the way they look with windshields
Many reviewers discount this bike stating that it's not as fun, torqey etc. , but it's more refined and way better on the highway for long distances than the MT07 for one .Has better fit n finish and the dash is much nicer , I love the MT07 mind you , but the Z has stuff to offer too.
I have the same bike but the 2019 model , riding it for the last 2 years . LOVE IT :) ( although its time to get a bigger bike ) My tip to you is ride with gear and do an advanced riding course . gl !
Love how the Z650 looks, really good looking bike! Its somewhat hard to hear you when you talked and rode at the same time. Othe then that, i enjoyed the video!
Nice! Sch-weet bike, brah! It's a do anything on a whim. A touch off-road? I'm feelin' it! Commuter during the week (in season) is the best way to both start & end your workday. People will notice! Hack around bike with almost no limitations. Kawasaki's come back to Yamaha's MT-07? Worthy competition- I friggin' love it. Updates occassionally please.
@@despirdzhang3225 im not sure what that expression means, but it is actually quite pleasant. lil harder to lean due to you sit that low, but super easy to push steering. over all very beginner friendly.
@@moxigen 😄 what i mean is opposed to "riding a horse", which you should feel normal. I'm only 5'5 and I have very short arms, but this bike feels perfect for me. If your arms quite long the handling could be an issue.
@@despirdzhang3225 thx for the explanation. i have an arm span of 1,87 m lil above 6´1 (positic ape index). as i wrote it is super easy for me to push steer, but not that pleasent to lean with it. my upper body pos is very comfortable, but the knee angle is sports bike like for me. i like my japanes dog tho ;) strong enough for me and well behaved.
yeah, i got the 2024 one, hitting 1000kms right now. There is one thing which bothers me much - no storage space, not at all. But otherwise it's a great bike
Im pretty short myself and not american so i were like aha, let's google 5"8 and then i thought aha maybe u weigh alot so MC become lower.. lets see what u typed in video, 410 lbs.......lmao xD
@@ElementXtra safe ride brother. there is no tips for rev matching actually. you will get better to feel how you do it properly, in time. it's a complete package. you cannot good on one thing while you riding motorcycle. if you are good on a thing, then you're good on almost everything.
So as your slowing down you want to blip your throttle with the clutch in and downs shift, then release your clutch but try releasing it slowly until you get use to where the right rev will be. You want to be careful how much throttle you put on you need to match the speed your going where your revs would sit in that gear at that speed or slightly below, so you usually apply light break as your doing this or just come off the throttle depends on the situation and then attempt the rev match it will help slow you down quicker and sounds nice too. I’ll do a video and drop you a message. It’s hard to explain, much easier to show. 😂
I wouldn’t worry about rev matching until you learn how to lean and trail breaking. Stay off the double yellow line! Slipper clutch will help for a time. The rev matching will come with time.
