I still remember our department used to drive a MACK truck in 1963 which was bought from America ! Today it is kept jammed and preserved in the backyard due the advancement of technology and alternatives! The metal used is so strong which not even today's trucks can compete! Punjab, India is proud to drive such a truck and holds a lot of good memories!
I was a teamster for 30 years and 90% of that time I drove a MACK. B-model, U-model, when they came out, R-model and F-models. That was when MACK's were an American truck company. The company I retired from, Smith's Transfer Corp. was the largest purchaser of MACK'S.
Trucks are just that but Mack's are something beyond and I've admired them since childhood when my dad operated four of them... I recall often times when riding with my dad during summers we'd be passed by various trucks and my dad would say to me... Just wit until the first grade and we'll be passing them all and it was just that... I
good looking truck, love the overall appearance outside and inside; Only thing which seems weird to me are the small screen and the load of old-fashioned buttons
Gonna be driving the 2022 version here in a couple of hours. Have never driven a Mack but I have driven Volvos and love them found out Mack is also Volvo so should be happy.
Do not buy this bro , I made a mistake to bought this truck 6 months ago, volvo and Mack very big difference. Volvo is very good and Mack is very cheap
There's not a better looking truck than this Mack. Atleast comparing the newer model trucks. That front end is so freaking sexy looking! I love the headlights and that grille.
The do look very nice, but in my opinion international Lonestar won in cosmetics. Now the maxforce being put in them means nobody will drive the damned things 😂
Desde Colombia, potente y impresionante es trato camion. Mi pregunta cuál es la fuerza o potencia del motor. Gracia espero la respuesta y si en Colombia ya llegó.
it's the other way around for me, the Anthem is alright. Won't complain about it or anything. But if i can choose i'll go with a Vision or Pinnacle. Always liked their shape more.
That push-button transmission is on the wrong side of the steering wheel. My uncles 62 Chrysler Station Wagon had the buttons on the side by the door, of course the left side was harder to reach(if I remember correctly). I
Junk truck. Everything inside these trucks is just cheap. Even the toggles and switches feel like something something that belongs on a cheap toy. The storage is very limited. The bragged about fuel milage is nowhere close. I drove a 2022 for a week and best fmpg I got was 6.7. The rpms run much higher at hwy speeds. 16.75 at 70 mph as compared to my Freightliner at 13.50 rpms. Mack should stick to Dumptrucks. The truck was extremely rough riding. Direct comparison between the 2016 Cascadia with DD15 and 13 speed standard transmission and the 2022 Mack with the MP8 and Maxtorque 13 speed standard. Hands down the Freightliner is more comfortable, smoother ride, easier shifting, much more room for storage and just over all a better feel to the truck. The MP8 had a little more pulling power in the hills, but the fuel mileage was terrible in comparison with what it claims (8 - 10 mpg). Over all, I was not impressed at all. And just an fyi... I prefer my W900 Kenworth to both and I've been driving for over 38 years.
