Putting the orioles in last is crazy. They're only getting better with a full season of adley, gunnar, and rodriguez and the red sox lost some of their best hitters in the offseason. O's win at least 85 games this year.

The problem is the orioles play in a tough division. If the orioles were in my AL central they’d get at least 3rd place.

@@jmoneymaker96 My point is that it's much more likely the O's win more rather than regress like everyone is picking them to. They still have 8 more prospects in the top 100 that are banging on the door and going to make them the most talented team in the AL East without spending any money. Think about when they actually decide to go after big name guys at the deadline/free agency

@@mattreynolds8092 At least your team has more prospects who are panning out. The royals drafted a lot of college pitching in 2018 and 2020 and only brady singer has looked good. Bobby witt jr, melendez, and pasquantino will be good bats for us but the royals can’t seem to develop pitching to save their life and we obviously won’g pay big bucks for an ace either.

Arizona's talent comes more from within than what they did in the offseason. I'd put them ahead of the Giants based on how many good prospects they have making their debuts this year

Yankees and Cardinals and Padres were huge disappointments this year based on pre-season expectations.

Enjoyable. AL & NL East competitive. Orioles and Rangers surprise teams. Will the heat of summer be too competitive for Tampa Bay? St.Louis who is currently in last moves up in the standings to 1st. Texas Rangers look very good. Will Shohei Ohtani be on the move at the trade deadline? N.L. East battle between Mets, Braves and Marlins. AL East is a toss-up with the exception of Toronto who will break your heart again. Can Aaron judge propel the Yankees to the World Series? Will the Padres move up the standings and challenge the way thd Diamondbacks have? Can San Francisco take advantage of head-on clashes in the NL West? Many questions. Only time will tell. 'Talkin Baseball' ⚾🧢

In my candid opinion,the s.f.giants are vastly improved.with the addition of haniger and conforto,they will supply much needed offense.we added starters and relief pitchers that will contribute.im optimistic desclafani will be an impact pitcher.lets stay healthy and hope we have bounce back years from various players.the s.f.giants are determined and very capable of competing and winning it all.

Don’t sleep on the Orioles, because they have beaten expectations in two of the last three seasons (2020 and 2022).

I get that the Edwin Diaz injury is significant but having the Mets missing the playoffs entirely is crazy to me

So was it in 2021.. every year there are upsets. 3 teams won't make it from the east every year. Mets may make it but some team every one expects to will miss out.

@@HummBabyBaseball I 100% understand that, there are always gonna be good teams who miss out. But to go from 100 wins to missing the playoffs, purely due to an injury to a closer? Seems like a stretch to me. The rotation is better than last year (as long as Verlander and Scherzer stay fit - DeGrom barely played last season) and the offence is pretty much the same.

@@HummBabyBaseball I agree that the Braves and Phillies right now look better, but I don’t see any reason why 3 teams from the east can’t make it. It’s arguably the strongest division in the entire MLB and as much as I like what the Cubs have done this offseason, I can’t see them being as good as the Mets. I don’t think they’ve immediately made the jump to a 89-95 win team, which is what I believe the Mets will be.

LOL, Baseball is fun, baseball is dynamic, any of several teams may win it all and that is exactly what makes it such a fun time to be a baseball fan. IMHO, as it always is, the team that gets hot for the playoffs wins the championship. With that said, go Dodgers!

I think the Braves are a dynasty in bloom tremendous balance with that lineup speed and Power and of course a great rotation with a deep bullpen I think they will beat Houston in the World Series. Wouldn't surprise me if the Braves won two or three championships and by the way another great video as always!

You can't accuse Erik of making safe picks or following " conventional wisdom "...the Mets not getting in the playoffs?! That only happens if all the old guys all get old at once(injuries/underperformance) Would love to see the World Series prediction(other than the Giants of course) be true, having those teams in it would be a refreshing change

Glad you already know 100% what's going to happen.. I suggest you go to Vegas and become rich betting on the teams you know will be winners. Except you don't know either.. every year there are surprises. Of course some one can beat the Astros.. that's absurd to think one team is almost guaranteed a title in baseball.. that's not how it works..
