✅ 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗼 : leaselo.co/notaguru-nissan-xt...
This 1.5 litre 3-cylinder hybrid "ePower" edition SUV gives you WLTP fuel economy of 45.6 MPG and a sub 8 second 0-62 time (7.7 seconds actually). Is this new Nissan X-Trail the perfect family SUV, let's find out?
The 2023 Nissan X-Trail is not a perfect car, nor is it groundbreaking in anyway, but it delivers an easy to live with package that many will find compelling.
Pricing starts at around £33k up to around £49k for the top spec and trim level.
Would you buy a Nissan X-Trail? let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoyed this very honest car review, please come back for the next one!

Got a 2023 tekna plus and absolutely love it. The tech upgrades alone and then the HUD / and premium quality interior - and the smooth hassle free ride make this worth the money. It’s so versatile it’s unbelievable

I've had the 2WD N-Connecta since March and I absolutely love it after a not so happy experience with a DSG Tiguan. I'd like to just pick you up over a comment you made regarding the X Trail having basically the same E CVT gearbox as the Honda and Toyota. The X Trail doesn't have any gearbox between the ICE and the wheels, unlike the Honda and Toyota, It's only got the single speed gear from the electric motor and the wheels with the ICE acting purely as a generator. The result is the smoothest transmission possible, like an EV, which is the main reason I bought it. I've done just over 4000 miles and it's averaged 52mpg on mainly local commutes in light traffic. I must admit that to achieve this you do need to drive it frugally using max regen and the e-pedal. On the odd, longer trip that I have done on the motorways 200+ miles, the consumption has been it the low 40s which isn't bad but not quite as good as the diesel Tiguan. On the motorways though you need to come out of regen mode and use eco which effectively allows you to freewheel when you lift off.

Hi Jim I ve had one for 6 months now, and the fuel economy is has follows, long journeys between 44 and 48 mpg, short run around trips 48 to 60mpg. Overall average is 43 mpg. The most important thing is that you must use the E pedal when driving. Short trips to the shops the car is nearly always in e mode, I get about 487miles per tank for fuel. The only thing I will say is that it is not as smart has my Honda CRV hybrid that I exchange it for, Honda are way ahead of Nissan on this, but it has a better driving position better info system than the Honda/

AM definitely considering getting one of these next year - though if you're a dog owner (as many of us are) you sometimes have to question if the interior is TOO smart for a 'family car' that might have a wet dog or wet children in the back !! It's a huge step-up over the old model, which I test drove and was driven in - and it was rather creaky ! PS I liked the look of Honda's new CRV until I learnt that Honda have decided that there going to make it in China - a COMMUNIST country. Sorry to bring politics into a car review, but we in the West need to realise that if European and Japanese/Korean manufacturers start to move production wholesale to China, it will be deadful for the West. I won't be helping that process along by buying the CR-V. I prefer the ruggedness of the X-trail anyway !
@DefinitelyNotAGuru
@DefinitelyNotAGuru 9 месяцев назад
To be fair, with the amount of Chinese parts in most modern cars it's perhaps not easy to as easy to dodge as you might think. X-Trail is a very good car.
@rjw4762
@rjw4762 9 месяцев назад
Fair comment and I'm well aware how China is the dominant maker of Batteries for Cars.....but I guess my point is that actual Production Lines need to be kept in 'the West' for me to be interested. @@DefinitelyNotAGuru

I agree with you. But whether you like it or not, the sun sets in the west, and it is setting, the sun rises in the east, and it is rising. China will be the world's No.1 economy in the next 10 years, or less, whether we like it or not.There is nothing wrong with communism if it's enforced properly. Equality for all. Sure, Jesus Christ was a socialist. Can't say China is that at all anymore, a mix of makes economy with socialist modes. Switching gears, this is a fine vehicle. I texted, drove one against the tucson and the Rav4. This is much superior in tech and comfort. I'm worried about trade in 3 years' time and the fuel economy.

1.5 ltr 3 cylinder.... Really?? How long will that last? 30,000 between engine rebuilds?? This new fad of moped sized engines (just to pass emissions) is totally ridiculous!! £45,000... and the national press is trying to say BEVs are not on parity with ICE....that is nonsense!! When a BEV will last 500,000 miles and cost virtually nothing in servicing.
@DavidBoreham-kk9dx
@DavidBoreham-kk9dx Год назад
Might be better to lease than buy with electric cars being the future in 7 years at most what's it going to be worth in 3 years? And how much will petrol be when there's not so much competition? With a lease probably cheaper than the deprecation
@mikadavies660
@mikadavies660 Год назад
@DavidBoreham-kk9dx Totally agree with you David, in fact ahead.... Already leasing a BEV, for peanuts... £265/mth. Running costs are £20 to £30/mth in electric. For exactly the reasons you mentioned. Technology is moving and today's ICE and BEV will be worthless in the future. BEV will be 500+ mile range or very cheap and ICE will be £10 to £15/gallon with petrol stations shutting down. Look at the new Dacia BEV... £15,000 in Jan 2024. Tesla Model 2 .... coming.... etc. Even 48 volt cars.... replacing 12v, there is a LOT of changes happening.
@DefinitelyNotAGuru
@DefinitelyNotAGuru Год назад
It's got the hybrid tech to help it along so don't think it'll be quite that drastic but the price does put it in with some interesting company. Certainly one to lease rather than buy new.
@mikadavies660
@mikadavies660 Год назад
@DefinitelyNotAGuru I am not against Hybrid, BYD do some really reasonable ones. But the 3 cylinder engines that are highly stressed... Like the Ford Fiesta ST... Super car but only for a few years then issues. I'm not a Yank, so no need for a V8.... but I don't believe in tiny cc cars. Plus all cars are in the 30 to 50mpg range for the last 20+ years. Proving that ICE has reached its limits.... Now you can love that horse, but flogging it to death achieves nothing.!

Umm you do realize that this guy has a tesla and is replacing motors every 200-250k miles. Do you know how expensive those motors are? You think it will last only 30k miles? The standard warranty is 60k miles for the engine so why would they only last 30k miles. I have 2 co workers with this engine around almost 40k miles already and no issues at all. It's used as a generator so sometimes the engine isn't even on so less wear on the engine especially when it's off which could be a while especially idling or light acceleration conditions. It cost less than a bev and can go further and also can has up in 2 mins compared to 1hr lol. Keep thinking thst bev is the best thing out there. It's good but you people have to consider things like that.
