This video made me smile for two reasons: -I’ve driven a non-RS GT4 on a track and Kennan just nails it on how this car makes you feel. -This is absolutely Kennan’s territory and it’s awesome to see the joy of a more technical reviewer nerding out over the engineering of this incredible car.

This is not only Porsche but one of the best sports cars ever produced and this is an unanimous opinion among experts and fans and enthusiasts, Great in depth review Ken. you are getting better and better. I suspect that if the CEO aka the kind of guy aka Douggie GT chooses to retire, the show is in the right hands in yours and the gourgeously funny Alanis. WELL DONE. 18:15. Definitely agree with you on the induction noise. I prefer it too. My dad had a MkIII Golf VR6 growing up. On light throttle it sounded like a small jet engine and on full throttle it was just beast mode

Well informed review. The tech details are essential for this type of car. Comparisons with your Ferrari would have been interesting. Difficult to fairly review a track-capable car just on public roads. Love the enthusiasm.

It is indeed possible and in fact did happen (I own this RS). And yes, the other car was a chalk 992 Turbo S with ceramic brakes. Amazing car and wickedly fast. But she’s not my wife, nor am I married. Lol. 😅

I like Kennan because he is introducing technical and historical dimensions far beyond Doug's achievements. Kennan, ignore these morons and put a NATO strap on your Oyster Perpetual Date. A Jubilee bracelet and T-shirt combo is reminiscent of the seedy part of Goodfellas.

diffuser decelerates air passing underneath the car making the difference between time air needs to go above and under the car smaller. accelerating the airflow under the car couses less downforce.

I'm not a engineer, but I've always called bullshit on those wings... The frontal profile of the strut from the wing down - i don't see how the strut extending under the wing would negatively affect the airflow that has already been disturbed by the front of it... Also calling bullshit on the "you're using this car on the track, where track times really matter" - no, HAVING FUN matters! At least to me.

Porsche has a really excellent marketing team as well as an engineering team. Having fun and putting miles on the car is what matters most. This owner previously dailied a GT4 then got this allocation. He had is fun and is now moving on.

I wonder how this car was ordered without the Weissach Package? It is an expensive option, more than US$13,000, but if you really like the sound of the NA 4.0 the Weissach Package really delivers with actual megaphones piped to the motor.

The owner didn't really like the black hood/frunks as a mandate option and thought it was overkill for what he wanted to do with the car.

Yes, as Kennan mentioned, I didn’t like the look of the black hood (too contrasting, too much black, and looked like an aftermarket part, IMO). I also didn’t want the other exposed carbon pieces (rear wing, intake scoops, etc) that come with the Weissach. I also didn’t want the obnoxious PORSCHE decal on the rear window or the Weissach emblems on the seats and dash. IMO, all of those decorations are unnecessary and add too much ‘bling’ to a car that’s already fairly blingy. I much preferred a simpler, more streamlined look. It appears classier to me eye. :)

One thing regarding “real 911 engines”: the Cayman S prior to the 718 series came with a 3.4L engine just like the base 991 Carrera.

They also didn't give it the GT3's double wishbones...maybe it wasn't feasible with the car's packaging, but as a Cayman evangelist it felt like yet more big brother favoritism from Porsche lmao.
